What are The Celebrant Industry Awards?

The Celebrant Industry Awards 2022 are designed to recognise those delivering excellence within the Celebrant industry across the whole of the world. These awards are the first of their kind - the ONLY awards that recognise Celebrants from all four ceremony types across the world. Which means you could be one of the first ever Celebrants to win one of these prestigious awards from around the world. This is a seriously big deal. The award ceremony is purely dedicated to Celebrants just like you. These are the only awards that you need to be involved in 👏 👏 👏 Winners will have the honour of owning the prestigious label of one of the following amazing categories: 🏆 The TCIA Global Celebrant of the Year 2022 We’re looking for THE TOP Celebrant of them all - the one with the charisma, talent, visibility, credibility and impact of a true star. 🏆 Overall Best National Celebrant 2022 We’re looking for THE TOP Celebrant per country - the one that stands out amongst the rest and gives 100% to their clients 🏆 Most Unique Ceremony 2022 We want to find the most interesting, unusual and totally bespoke ceremony from around the world. Our Rising Star award will recognise the best up and coming Celebrant on the scene today. 🏆 Industry Favourite 2022 This is a very special recognition, voted on by the industry itself. From wedding planners to funeral directors, who will win the esteemed industry favourite award? The rules are simple. The Global Celebrant Industry Awards are based on nominations, votes and - finally - a judging panel. The panel will dig into your reviews, website, branding and overall business visibility, and add this to how much love you get from your biggest fans ❤️ Stage one of the awards is to get nominated. We’ve created an easy-to-use nomination form on our website for you to direct your audience. Stage two is all about grabbing those votes - shout far and wide, because only the top five Celebrants from each category will be shortlisted! Stage three is the judging panel. This is where we bring everything together, and decide on the ultimate winner for each category ⭐ And hey presto… that illustrious title of - ahem - the best of the best could be yours! I cannot stress enough how big of an impact these awards are going to have. I’m so excited to see the nominations start rolling in!

Who are the awards for?

The awards are for all Celebrants (i.e. those who conduct wedding ceremonies,funerals, naming ceremonies, and renewal of vows) across the world. Only Celebrants who are members of the Celebrant Directory can win, however those outside of the directory can be nominated and have the option to join the directory in order to be entered into the awards.

Anyone can nominate with no exclusions. Whether it be the bride and groom, wedding/ceremony guests, family, friends, or anyone who feels the Celebrant deserves recognition. You can also nominate yourself if you feel you have an outstanding script or provided fantastic service.

Is there a cost to enter?

There is a small fee to enter the awards. When you are nominated you will be emailed a link to accept your nomination and enter the awards. You must be a Celebrant Directory member to take part, so if you aren't a member yet, come dive in and join the fun. Why do we charge a fee? We want to recognise celebrants across the globe for the work they do and make these awards the most prestigious in the industry. We charge a fee to cover the costs of the administration of the awards.

I've been nominated more than once, do I have to pay again?

No there is just one fee to enter the awards no matter how many categories you are nominated for.

What are the categories?

Across all countries the following categories will be awarded for each ceremony type: The TCIA Global Celebrant of the Year 2022 Overall Best National Celebrant 2022 Most Unique Ceremony 2022 Best Client Service 2022 Rising Star 2022 Industry Favourite 2022 All awards will have a runner up award too!

The deadlines below will be followed, where any openings will be from around 9am (GMT), any notifications before around 5pm (GMT), and any closings by 10pm (GMT): Wednesday 18th April - Nominations Open Sunday 8th May - Nominations Close Tuesday 10th May - All nominees notified and voting instructions sent Monday 16th May - Voting Open - grab as many votes as you can! Friday 20th May - Voting Close Wednesday 25th May - Top 5 from each category notified and announced Wednesday 25th May to Tuesday 31st May - Judging Panel will review your profile, online reviews and how much love you've received! Wednesday 1st June - Winners notified and announced

What will the winners receive?

The winners of our 5 categories across the various countries will receive: Recognition on our website and social media platforms Winner’s badge to display on their website and social media platforms Upgraded directory listing containing winner’s badge (for 1 year) Winner’s showcase interview on our Facebook page to put them in the spotlight

Covid, who? We don't just celebrate the ceremony, we celebrate and award celebrants from all ceremony types. We don't ask for reviews from previous couples, we take a look at what is out there already and ask you to get votes from people who know that you rock at what you do! This year you can ask all your previous couples and families to vote, no matter when you officiated their ceremony.
