Best Micro Wedding Venues in the UK & Worldwide

4C0A1657

If you’re planning a micro wedding, it opens up a world of opportunities when it comes to finding a wedding venue. Without the need to accommodate a large number of guests, you can opt for a small wedding venue or perhaps somewhere remote or a bit more adventurous.

What is a Micro Wedding?

Whilst a small wedding usually involves around 50 guests, a micro typically includes no more than 20-25 guests, often only close family and friends. This intimate gathering allows couples to focus on the details that matter most to them, from personalized décor to gourmet dining experiences. Micro weddings are perfect for couples who want to celebrate their love in a meaningful, budget-friendly way without the stress of a large guest list.

Before you book your micro wedding venue, we highly recommend you make a note of the following 5 questions to ask your wedding venue:

  1. Can your on-site restaurant cater for us?
  2. Can you have a ceremony outside?
  3. What duration of time do we have the venue for?
  4. Do you have a backup plan in case of rain or other weather-related situations?
  5. Do you have accommodation on site for all of our guests?

Danielle Garber and her Husband opted for a wedding in their rainforest casita with just 4 guests. “Having a micro wedding at Nayara Springs suited us perfectly, it meant we could have something intimate that felt like it really reflected us and because there were only 6 of us, we got to go all out and get married in the most incredible location. We spent the morning hanging out with our family in the natural hot springs and then trekked to the local waterfall for our wedding photos. It was a truly unforgettable experience. The celebrant made the whole ceremony feel so special, and we fell in love with the place so much we’ve been back 4 times!”.
