2017 Wedding Ceremony Wrap up with Amara Grace Weddings

2017 was an amazing year, with lots of fantastic ceremonies. Luckily we have some fabulous photographers to capture those moments!

This is the third in our series of features with photographers that just love to work with Celebrants!

Business Name: Amara Grace Weddings

Where are you based?: Rugby, Warwickshire

Welcome Karen and Hollie!

How would you sum up 2017 in just a sentence?

Love, romance, confetti in our first full year working as a female duo! Amazing couples we have met and venues we have worked at.. loved every minute

What was your favourite wedding to shoot and why?

It’s impossible to chose just one wedding as we find each day is so individual to each couple with details and elements that make it unique to them. We did however adore Natalie and Shane’s outdoor ceremony in the grounds of Dunchurch Park Hotel as our weather is so unpredictable it's exciting when the sun comes out! It’s the only outdoor ceremony we did in 2017 so it was exciting and challenging working with changing light and extra dynamic that outdoor ceremonies create.

You must have seen a lot of weddings! What makes a wedding ceremony unique in your eyes?

The ceremony is one of the most emotional parts of the day, we find the celebrant plays such an important part by creating a welcoming atmosphere, with personal detail about the couples, it transforms the service into something even more memorable. Special poems, reading or songs from family and friends make this even more unique.

Can you tell us about the ceremonies below?

This was a beautiful sunny day on August 26th, held in the stunning and extensive grounds of Dunchurch Park Hotel. The day was memorable right from the start with an outdoor ceremony being planned. Their female celebrant led a beautiful service full of many personal details which gave a very emotional and moving service. The bride and groom have a young family and one incredibly moving part of the ceremony was a reading given by their young sons. They celebrated they union by exiting the aisle to a shower of confetti. Post ceremony a magician wowed the guests before a sumptuous three course dinner with sentimental and emotional speeches and touches of humour! We had a relaxed and beautiful golden hour portrait session and captured candid moments with their guests. The day of fun continued into the night with lots of dancing, drinking and Photo Booth fun!

What is it you love about Celebrant led weddings?

Relaxed and personal, with plenty of individuality that can be expressed.

What do you look forward to most in 2018?

Entering our second full year we are excited to really grow our company and experience more unique days with our couples as we have some pretty special days coming up with some amazing celebrants and locations!
