Hi, I'm Jo
It is important to me to know that I make a difference to bereaved families at what is a painful and distressing time for them. I always go the extra mile to ensure that the ceremony gives you some ease and comfort in the midst of your grief and leaves you with a positive lasting impression.
I specialise in Funerals and I create and officiate unique, bespoke ceremonies for families who want to celebrate the life of their loved one and I take pride in being a member of The Fellowship of Independent Celebrants whose motto is : “Your Voice, Your Choice, Your Ceremony”
As an Independent Celebrant, I am not restricted in Terms of the content of the ceremony and can include as much or little religion as required and I can even include a mix of content from a variety of faiths and cultures.
What's my ceremony style?
As an Independent Celebrant, who specialises in funerals I create and officiate ceremonies such as Cremations, Burials, which include Cemetery. Eco, Green and Woodland Burials, Memorial Services and Scattering of Ashes..
I also have a large amount of experience in Living Funerals which are becoming increasingly popular in the UK.

My aim is to create a Ceremony that reflects your individual story and I will work with you, taking time to understand your wishes, getting to know you and sharing your memories of your loved One. This will enable me to craft a unique, bespoke ceremony which has the sentiment, words and music that you want and that is a truly personal and fitting tribute, that honours and celebrates a life.

Jo Ohlson-Clark conducted my Mother in law’s service recently at Vinte’rs Park Crematorium. The Service was everything we hoped it would be and more, with every mourner commenting about the lovely service. Jo helped us every step of the way and always treated us with kindness and understanding. She made a difficult time more bearable,

I was absolutely dreading the funeral of my husband, The Funeral Director recommended Jo and she came to my home to meet me and find out about my husband’s life, she immediately put me at ease as we talked and she made notes, she asked questions and led me to the information she needed to create the service. On the day she was very reassuring – the service was lovely and several people thought she had known my husband well, as the service was so spot on, in describing his personality.. I Highly recommend her !

Jo was a great support throughout the whole process, which was very unexpected. The service she created captured the essence of my Husband and was a real celebration of his life, we are so glad that she was our celebrant . She also sent us some Forget-me-seeds for the children to plant in his memory – so very thoughtful.
