Hi, I'm Elaine
In my professional life, I have gained 24 years of Event Management having worked with high profile events, civic events & royal visits with the Isle of Wight Council, & for three years at Osborne House the former home of Queen Victoria, as Hospitality and Event Manager co-ordinating weddings & corporate events. I also worked for five years as a Sessional Registrar officiating at over 350 wedding ceremonies, having the honour & privilege of taking the ceremony for my daughter Emma & her husband Ashley.
I currently working as an Independent Celebrant. I am an a fully qualified member of The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, holding certificates as a Marriage and Family Celebrant, and also Funeral Celebrant since 2015.
I am calm, reliable & have a great passion for people, & will be with you every step of the way, and together create a perfect celebration which reflects your story.
What's my ceremony style?
My style is to work with you to create a perfect ceremony for your very own special occasion. Creating a wedding ceremony, or renewal of vows, we will together piece together the journey of love story, to share with family and friends,, filled with love and meaningful loving memories, making it a memorable service.
For a funeral service or celebration of life memorial ceremony, once again it will celebrate the life of your loved one, and their life’s journey with love, tenderness and where appropriate we can add a touch of humour.. It can be such an emotional time, but between us, we will put together a service to remember.

Having previously worked as a Sessional Registrar, I have attended & officiated at over 350 weddings, & the most special ceremony I took, was that of my Daughter Emma and husband Ashley.
With 24 years’ experience in delivery events, this is the biggest event of your life, so let me choreograph the ceremony for you, and you can choose your own romantic location, write personal vows, and make it just the most perfect day.
The ceremony will tell your romantic story, with love humour, fun, laughter passion and excitement. We can include religious and spiritual elements, or even rituals such as rose, sand, wine or candle ceremonies, handfasting or jumping the broom. We can include family and friends, and the ceremony can be held a location of your choice, where it holds special memories for you. Together we can make this ceremony one to remember for a lifetime. Naming Ceremonies
Welcome to the world little ones! There is nothing more precious or short of a miracle than a new born baby, it is truly the best gift ever. The birth of a new baby is such a joyous time.
Traditional Church christenings are wonderful ceremonies, but today, many people do not hold religious beliefs, and a baby naming ceremony is the perfect alternative
way to celebrate your baby’s arrival with your family and friends. I will help create a personal individual ceremony for you. The Ceremony can contain religious / semi religious or spiritual elements. You may have some ideas of your own which can be incorporated.
We can choose, music, readings, poems, prayers, and of course involve any siblings in the ceremony itself. You can your favourite location for the ceremony. Together, let’s make it a day to remember.

Renewal of Vows
Often, couples choose to marry abroad, family & friends are not always able to attend the Wedding, or you may want to celebrate a special wedding anniversary. The Renewal of Vows ceremony is a beautiful way to share a Wedding Ceremony and mark this very special occasion with loved ones.

Funerals
Mourning a death, and saying goodbye to a person who has played an important part in your life, is probably one of the most difficult heart-breaking moments we will face in a lifetime. A funeral service does not have to be a sad occasion, it is a “Celebration of Life”.
As a celebrant, let me help you through these hard times, sharing memories of your loved one, and I can with your help, create and conduct a personalised ceremony.
The ceremonies I create contain uplifting elements, capturing the spirit of the person you have lost with dignity and gratitude, reflecting their personality and details about their life, the things they enjoyed, the stories which need to be told and shared amongst family and friends. It is about focussing and celebrating the life of your loved one, sharing tears and laughter, not focussing on death, but life once lived.
I meet with the family (currently with COVID there are limited restrictions). and we will discuss the life and personality of your loved one. We will discuss the format of the Order of Service, an I can assist with the poems, readings and music. I will put together a loving service for you, write the eulogy should you wish, and also we can discuss family involvement with any personal tributes. I will be with you all the way, and always at the end of the phone to chat with you.
If you are having a Church Service, and you need help to write a Eulogy for your loved one, please contact me for a chat, and together, we will create a beautiful Eulogy which reflects the life of your loved one. It will be written, with love, passion and dignity, and of course humour is allowed should you wish.

This will be paid by the Funeral Director for a Cremation. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service from £250.00

I will gather as much information about your loved one, and together, we will create a wonderful, warm, loving uplifting service, to celebrate the life of your loved one. Humour can be incorporated, but ultimately this service will be written and delivered in a a very loving way, to say good bye.

Our Dad’s farewell
We would like to thank Elaine enormously for helping us celebrate dad’s life, with my very specific wishes. She was so kind and helpful.
Pams funeral
We cannot thank Elaine enough for the beautiful service she delivered for Pam. From the very beginning, she was warm, compassionate, and took the time to truly understand Pam’s life and the memories that mattered most to us.
Her words during the service were heartfelt and perfectly captured Pam’s essence, while her calm and caring presence brought so much comfort to our family. Elaine made an incredibly difficult day so much more bearable, and we will always be grateful for the care and attention she gave to honouring Pam’s memory.
Vow renewal
Elaine created the most beautiful service for our vow renewal. It was so personal, emotional and made me cry. So many people commented about how lovely it was. I will definitely be recommending her to friends and family.
