Hi, I'm Emily
I am an award-winning, full-time, qualified independent celebrant specialising in all types of ceremonies. You have chosen a celebrant-led ceremony because you want your ceremony to reflect you. It is my job to work with you, from our very first contact until the day itself, to make sure this happens. Feel safe in the knowledge that wherever we are in the process, you are always in the driver’s seat. Throughout your planning, it’s likely that your ideas may change, so your ceremony needs to change to reflect this. That’s no problem! I want it to be perfect for you, so just let me know what the changes are and consider them done.
What's my ceremony style?
My ceremonies are a reflection of the people involved, and whether it is welcoming a child into a family, a couple committing to each other for life, or saying a final goodbye to a loved one, I strive to ensure that your ceremony encapsulates their individual wishes.

What do I offer?
Weddings
As an independent celebrant, I put you at the centre of your ceremony – whatever your vision, I will do my best to make it happen. There are no legal or belief-system restrictions on my ceremonies so you can host your celebrations wherever and however you choose, combining a variety of elements including religious, cultural and family rituals along with your unique love story. Organising your wedding should be enjoyable, with minimal stress, and communication is an important way to reduce any anxieties. I will always be available to you by email, at the end of a phone, video calls and for extra meetings to help put your mind at ease, so you enjoy the process of creating your perfect day. If you’re struggling I will help guide you. Don’t worry – there is always plenty of time to make everything perfect!
The process of creating your bespoke celebration ceremony is as individual as you. During your ceremony journey, I will be finding out about your vision of the day, your unique love story, what makes you such a perfect couple, your dreams for your future along with lots more wonderful detail. From this, I shall create your own personal biography that will form the basis of your bespoke ceremony. Whatever your vision, know that I will work with you to create the ceremony of your dreams.

Naming Ceremonies
When a child enters your life a new family begins, and that is something worth celebrating! A naming ceremony differs to a traditional christening because the main focus is not religion, instead, it is the child and their family. Every naming ceremony is unique and tailored around your family’s needs. For something extra memorable, why not have it themed around your child’s favourite book or toy? Unity ceremonies are a lovely addition to the celebrations too.
Naming ceremonies aren’t just for babies. Perhaps you never quite got around to having a celebration when your child was born – well it’s never too late! Adopting a child of any age is such a wonderful event and one that should be celebrated. Why not take the opportunity to formally welcome your child into your family with a Welcoming Ceremony. I specialise in ceremonies for older children and like to involve them in the process so it really is a day to remember.

Renewal of Vows
You may have decided to renew your vows to mark a special anniversary, milestone, or in recognition of overcoming a difficult period in your relationship. You may have loved your wedding day so much that you want to recreate your magical experience! The reasons to renew your vows are as unique yourselves, and, whatever the reason, your ceremony can be as intimate or as extravagant as you choose.
I will spend time with you, creating a personal ceremony that truly reflects both of you and where you are in your relationship. You may now have a family that you would like to be included, and I can liaise with them to help explain your thoughts and ideas. Couples often mark these occasions by rededicating their rings, including a unity ceremony, writing their own promises and exchange gifts. You may like a big party or prefer an intimate ceremony involving just the two of you. We will chat through your plans and together find what feels most comfortable and the best reflection of you.

Funerals
When someone close to you dies, it is a life-changing moment, and it is important to honour their life respectfully and in a way that best reflects them. I will work with you and be by your side, ensuring this happens.
Making decisions at this time is hard, so I will work with you at your pace to help you make informed ceremony choices and to capture the essence of your loved one so I can tell their story. You or others may wish to participate in the ceremony, or you may not. I will liaise with you as you decide what feels most comfortable for you. You may wish to include religious elements or cultural rituals, and we can work together to ensure that these are respectfully included.

The best ceremony our guests had ever been to!
Thank you so much for an absolutely beautiful ceremony on Saturday – you absolutely nailed it. People couldn’t stop commenting on how lovely and unique it all was. The best ceremony / wedding they had ever been to they said! We honestly can’t thank you enough.
