Hi, I'm Sharon
Hi everyone, I am the creator, and narrator of unique, modern, and personalised wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, namings, and heartfelt eulogies for funerals, celebrations of life, and memorials.
I weave words of love, warmth, and joy into memorable storytelling of life from your shared memories, anecdotal tales, and touching tributes.
Wedding ceremonies remembered as an ‘experience’ from the moment your first guest arrives, and funeral eulogies reflect on the ‘dash’ of a loved one’s life delivered with dignity.
If this is what you are looking for, then you have come to the right celebrant.
What's my ceremony style?
Honest, reliable, trustworthy, sincere, attentive, responsive, understanding, flexible, conscientious, tactful and… tactile!
My 10 Commandments + the little one at the end (I cannot help it, sorry!)
What more can I say, if you want a ceremony full of meaning, warmth, and love with a bit of humour, then we need to start a conversation, to see whether we are compatible first, as the journey to your occasion, is just as important as the day itself.

Why choose Sharon?
I treat my clients the way I would like to be treated myself.
Such special occasions will be remembered for a lifetime, by those in attendance from what they hear and experience, so you need to get it right the first time.
I aim to generate a belief that I have known the couple, the individual, and the families, for a long time, rather than as a stranger who entered their life only for this occasion.
From listening to shared life stories, watching client interactions, understanding emotional responses, and engaging in conversation to fine-tune a heartfelt ceremony together.
What do I offer?

Weddings
With a Celebrant-led ceremony, you enter into an ‘experience’, engaging guests from the moment they arrive.
I have the creative freedom to write and narrate the most unique and personalised ceremony as, I am not restricted to ancient scripture, legal boundaries, or licensed venues.
A location based on a childhood memory, a family connection, or a shared experience with your loved one and a ceremony that includes meaningful rituals and music that excites the soul, embracing those closest to you, and bringing joy, love, and laughter throughout the day.
Whether you choose a traditional or modern approach, your ceremony will be created to show your life journeys, love, and dreams for the future.
I work on a client-to-client individual basis, as not the same hat fits both.
The choice of ‘package’ is yours, from ceremony script writing service only (You may have someone else in mind to deliver on the day… it’s okay, I’ll not be offended!), to the all singing and dancing service, which includes ceremony script writing, attending the venue of your wedding, delivery of the ceremony, including if you wish; readings, prayers, music, singing, and personalised symbolic rituals.
Until our first discussions, we will not know your journey’s route.

Naming Ceremonies
Ceremonies that have been around for centuries though increasing in popularity in modern society, allow choice to parents who consider themselves non-religious, nor want a traditional christening or baptism, but still wish to mark the occasion with family and friends.
The perfect way to acknowledge and welcome an adopted child(ren) to their new family is through a special celebration to start the bonding journey and to develop an understanding of the love their new family has for them.
Or the coming together of couples with children from previous relationships, involving fun rituals, such as sand blending or family tree fingerpainting, a visual representation of two families becoming one.
The beauty of all these ceremonies is the ability to hold them in your home, garden, or open air (weather permitting) or a location that matches your budget.

Renewal of Vows
Celebrants love delivering a ‘renewal of vows’ ceremony as we witness couples entering a new stage of life or a new chapter in their marriage journey.
Marriage can be met with challenges at times, with highs and lows along the way. Honesty, trust, patience, respect and love, are all required to reach many milestones and the foundation of the vows made to each other at the start.
Reflection can bring a realisation of what has been achieved and at times, overcome to reach those milestones, with a desire to reaffirm commitment to one another with a ‘renewal of vows’.
This ceremony can be unbelievably powerful and emotional when surrounded by those born out of the marriage, wider family, and friends who have shared times in your life journey as a couple.
You’re never too old, or young, to have a ‘renewal of vows’ ceremony.

Funerals
‘The Dash’ – that little symbol that sits quietly between the date of a person’s birth and death, its significance is often overlooked, writing a ceremony and watching its true meaning grow as we reflect on a loved one’s life.
I deliver a fitting tribute to the life of your loved one, through anecdotal tales and unforgettable memories shared with, encapsulating the sadness of their loss, memories of their being, and the warmth of their spirit.
I enter your life as a stranger, support you in your grief as we talk, listen intently as you share memories in time, develop an understanding of who you have lost, and deliver their life story with dignity and compassion as though I had known them in person… the ultimate privilege.
I contact the family within 24 hours of receiving instruction, whether from a Funeral Director or directly from another source, to arrange a home visit (or other suitable location), for an initial consultation.
Preparation of a first draft of the eulogy to share with family for approval.
Make necessary amendments until the content is agreed upon + the client signs off on the final version of the eulogy.
Attend the location of service on the day, greet family, and deliver service + eulogy.
Provide a personalised copy of the eulogy, via your Funeral Director, or direct.

Everyone came away from the service smiling, as it was truly a celebration of Dad’s life
Sharon was the perfect person to lead the service for my Dad’s funeral. My sister and I got together with Sharon and recalled our memories and stories from our childhood. We particularly liked the way she recorded our meeting and was able to listen and ask questions as we went along. Sharon sent us a recorded version of the service so we could hear how it would sound and happily changed anything, in order for us to get across the Dad we knew. The support Sharon gave my son, in order for him to deliver his own contribution, was second to none. Everyone came away from the service smiling, as it was truly a celebration of Dad’s life, and all commented on how lovely and personal the service was. I have no hesitation in recommending Sharon to anyone considering a Celebrant led service.

Sharon was the chosen celebrant for my husbands funeral. She visited our home where we told her all about him, she made notes and wrote, and delivered, a fantastic eulogy. She was not patronising in any way, but was very caring and funny.
Would definitely recommend Honeybee as she went above and beyond for us. Thank you for making a difficult day so much easier to bear
She used our anecdotes and our emotions to tell a beautiful story of my Nana’s life.
I have had an unexpected pleasure of working with Sharon, at a time where I felt I would struggle to be able to find joy. Following the passing of my Nana, Sharon visited our home to talk through what to expect in the coming weeks, as well as talk about my Nana and her life. I have always been quite vocal about my distaste for funerals. Particularly the fact that I find it uncomfortable for people (celebrants/humanists etc) talking about someone they had never met – as if they were good friends. So again, I was not expecting to feel comfortable in this situation. I knew I would not be able to lead a service myself, as I would be too emotional. So I accepted someone else would need to do it.
Sharon was wonderful. There was no rush or time pressures put on us, whilst we sat and told stories, remembered funny times and sad times. We shed a tear or two, laughed and showed her photos. Sharon asked questions and dug deeper to find bits of information that we hadn’t perhaps even noted as relevant. Yet these small facts helped weave everything together. Following that day, Sharon kept in contact via email and text, sharing details of her writing and seeking clarification on different things. Talking further about Nana and generally just checking in on us.
By the time the funeral day came, seeing Sharon at the crematorium was like seeing any other friend or family member attend. She spoke about by Nana with a smile. She may not have been at the events she discusses, but was able to portray the way it had made me and my family feel when we talked about it with her. She used our anecdotes and our emotions to tell a beautiful story of my Nana’s life. I can honestly say this is the first time I have left a funeral, led by a celebrant, where I felt that they had really caught the essence of who the person was. Sharon then stayed after the service to check in and see how we were before rounding off what to expect next.
I am not usually one to leave a review. However in this instance I felt it was important. Giving a patient and their family a good death is an important part of my job as a nurse. But Sharon is able to continue to support a grieving family following that death. So if me writing a review of that helps someone else feel the peace and support that we received, it’s something I am happy to do.
Thank you Sharon for a wonderful service and for all your support. It really means so much to us all.
