Hi, I'm Jill
Do you want a fairy tale wedding? a wedding on a beach? A wedding in dappled woodland? Do you want your ceremony at dusk or dawn? With me as your celebrant you can have your wedding where you want it and at a time you’d like it, with your choice of words. I’m sincere, friendly and have a sense of fun. Families I have worked with say I put them at their ease and am easy to work with.
I am passionate about Ceremony – I believe that ceremonies can be a time of celebration as well as a time for reflection.
Every ceremony that I conduct is as special and as unique as you are. I am a people person; I love hearing stories especially ones that mark life’s milestones. As your celebrant I will work with you to weave a beautiful ceremony to mark your “occasion”.

I create unique, bespoke, ceremonies that are crafted with you and for your milestone occasions. I will work closely with you to support and guide your choice of music, readings or special words to use.
You choose the content of your ceremony, whether you have no religion or some elements that include religion like a hymn or a prayer or mixed faith ceremonies. Fun and laughter are natural elements in any ceremony.
All of the ceremonies I conduct have dignity and gravitas as the core theme.
I will give you as much time as you need to create the ideal ceremony for you.

Naming Ceremonies
I love working with families who want to welcome their child or children in to the world. The gift of a name is unique and important. It is a lovely thing to celebrate and an honour to ben involved in.
I offer naming ceremonies in the venue of your choice.
I will help you to choose readings, and will guide you to write promises for you child.
All of my families receive a naming certificate on the ceremony day.

Renewal of Vows
My ideal couple are in love and want to remember and celebrate their commitment to each other.
My favourite ceremony types are Sand ceremonies, Rose ceremonies and Unity Candles and “passing the heartbeat” where families can celebrate together and make new promises that build on the ones they have already made.
I love having a mixture of generations involved in the ceremonies.
I also enjoy quiet ceremonies where only the couple and close family/ friends are present – perhaps on a beach or in a garden.
Often couples choose to renew their wedding vows as they have entered a new phase in their married lives and want to reaffirm their love for one another. Sometimes a milestone anniversary or a Special Birthday spurs on a couple’s desire to publicly commit to each other using new words to celebrate the commitment and love they have treasured together for years. You may have had the wedding you wanted when you were young, but have dreamed of doing it differently now… A renewal of vows ceremony provides this opportunity to have exactly what you want in the way you want it. It could be at the beginning of a family meal in the venue of your choice. It could be in your own home, or at a favourite go to location. Whatever the reason you may have to renew your vows, I will work with you to write a beautiful, and unique ceremony.

Funerals
I’m privileged to be able to conduct a wide range of Ceremonies for the Celebration of a life: e.g. a funeral with some religion – or none at all, cremation, burial scattering of ashes, memorial services. I will work closely with you and the Funeral Director of your choice to ensure that you and your loved one have the Ceremony you want. Throughout the planning of your ceremony I will spend as much time with you as you need, either face to face or via telephone , Zoom or email, until the ceremony is as you want it to be. I am an Independent Celebrant and it is an honour to be able to support families so that they can remember and celebrate the life of the person who had died in a unique and bespoke way.
I offer a living Funeral service where I work you to create a living funeral so you can have a beautiful bespoke ceremony whilst you are alive so you can share your story with your loved ones, enabling you to share happy times and make more memories to treasure. I also offer a Eulogy and Ceremony writing service so that your funeral ceremony is written and can be left with your Funeral Director alongside your funeral plan, or with your Solicitor so that it can sit alongside your will.I conduct Funerals, Celebration of life, Burials, Memorials, Scattering of ashes ,Living funerals . Such an approachable, helpful celebrant.
I made contact with Jill as I wanted to organise my funeral. I needed to know that everything was in place before going in to hospital for major surgery, just in case, and Jill came highly recommended from a friend who had used her as a celebrant for a family funeral.
Jill was calm, attentive, she listened to my requirements and was very happy to help. We discussed many options and I went away to think about things.
I decided to work with Jill to write my service and to have things organised so that when the time came my Funeral arrangements have been made and it’s one less thing for my family to worry about. Jill was amazing. My ceremony is on file and is able to be updated if I live for a long time and my family want to alter some of the music and readings to more modern ones. It has given me complete peace of mind. Thankfully my operation was a success and I’m still here to tell the tale.
I paid in advance to write my ceremony in the way I wanted it, and know that when the time comes Jill will deliver my service, for an extra fee that has already been discussed. My family are so please that I have arranged this all with Jill, they know that they came make changes if they want to, but my life story is there.
When your family needs a celebrant I can’t recommend Jill highly enough.

Celebration of life for my friend
Thank you for making a sad day more bearable. The stories you told of Margaret reminded me of when we were young. The music was great; we loved to go dancing.
There was a lot of time to think of Margaret with love and fondness.
Thank you again, funerals don’t have to always be sad, there were happy memories of Margaret that made us smile. I will remember her.
