As a person who was raised in a diverse adoptive family I specialise in Welcoming Ceremonies which mark the creation of a new family when adoption has taken place.
Adoption is such a special gift and the children who grow in a family’s heart deserve a really unique ceremony. Just Simply Amazing
From the moment we met Kirstie we knew she was the right person to deliver the service. She was caring, compassionate and listened to everything. We talked for a good couple of hours and what was delivered was just perfect. Kirstie speaks with passion and her presentation is incredible even down to wearing yellow on the day which was the colour we had for the flowers. The service is only short but Kirstie captured everything important and we couldn’t be more grateful to her. Highly recommended by Helen Horne and couldn’t have picked the most perfect person for the job
Lost for words
I was first introduced to Kirstie by our funeral director Helen Horne, who recommended Kirstie to us. My father was a lapsed Catholic, and I was set to have someone from the church talk, but after Helen had described how incredible Kirstie is at her craft, I wanted to meet with her. this was the best decision I have ever made regarding my father’s funeral service!
She sat with me and my partner, and I noticed how empathetic and kind she was, and more importantly, attentive, listening to every word from every story we told of my father. Laughing with us, crying with us and inspiring us to flesh out his final story for the world to hear one last time.
Like someone sculpting on marble, chishelling away to showcase my father’s story, the more we shared, the more she seemed inspired to craft.
We could not believe just how lucky we were to have someone so skilled who could not only construct a beautiful and flawless summary of my father, but to host the ceremony whilst weaving and connecting the patchwork of his life and death seamlessly and without skipping a beat, balancing humour, sorrow and celebration with beautiful delicacy.
My partner and I are incredibly humbled by her words that reverberate in our hearts and in our souls to this very day, my father could not of had a better send off and I owe this to Kirstie for her incredible words which has given me the opportunity to make the first footsteps on my road to healing.
Kirstie – What you do is a calling, but how you do it is an art, a gift! Never stop doing what you do as many lives like mine are grateful for you standing in front of a lecturn and painting wonderous pictures with your words of the incredible love we feel and the desperate loss of the ones that we must physically let go of but never forget.
