Hi, I'm Christine

Since I qualified as a funeral celebrant I have worked alongside over eight hundred families. I love what I do and it shows.

The right funeral service can be powerful and healing, and I’m a firm believer that the process of creating a funeral is as important as the event itself. I want you to look back on the day and feel proud of the choices you made. With your words and wishes at the heart of everything, the ceremony and rituals we create together will be meaningful and personal. If you want it to be uplifting, then that is exactly what it will be.

For ten years I was a university lecturer and my early career was in community theatre, travelling across the UK and Europe. My work has always had people and their stories at its heart.

What's my ceremony style?

My approach is gentle and honest. I don’t use platitudes, but I do speak with warmth and passion, and whether you find respite in laughter, tears or silence, I’m with you all the way.

Sometimes your relationship with the person who has died is complex, and that’s okay. Together we can work out a way to acknowledge their effect on your life and the world around them. I will never judge you or the person who has died.

Since I stepped on to this amazing path, I have taken services in crematoria, stables, woodland, village halls, railways and front rooms. Don’t be afraid to explore what is possible. So much is possible.

Funerals

If you’ve come to this site looking for a funeral celebrant, it’s likely that life has changed for you in a big or small way. I’m sorry if you’re hurting or facing challenges right now. Living with grief can be hard.

If you decide that I’m the right person for you, I will meet with you to discuss the ceremony in depth: readings, music, tributes, any spiritual content or special wishes you may have. You can decide how much you want to be involved, and I will support you all the way with suggestions, resources and practical advice.

After our meeting I will liaise with your Funeral co-ordinator, and you can contact me at any time to discuss any thoughts or concerns about the service. The full ceremony text will be sent to you to check, and after the funeral you will be offered a presentation copy to keep.

Other services include memorial events and the scattering of ashes

Simply wonderful

5 Stars
Kate Lever

Funeral | 01/07/2017 | Telford Crematorium

I’ve given 5 stars, but only because there is no option to give more. What a wonderful lady. From the moment she arrived at my Mums house to talk with us about our Dad, we just knew we had found the perfect person to help see our Dad over to the other side. She listened to our stories, laughed with us, cried with us, and wrote the most amazing tribute to be read at the funeral. I wrote a poem, but because I was so emotional, when it came to reading it aloud on the day, I completely bottled it. Christine read it with such emotion. She made such a difficult day so much easier, and our family will forever be grateful for that. Our neighbour thought she was fantastic, and when his wife sadly passed just a year later, he came to us for her details as he wanted his wife’s send off to be just as special. 5*, but would give a hundred more if I could! Thank you Christine.

Funeral | 09/27/2021 | Shrewsbury

I would like to thank and recommend Christine for the help, assistance and professional attitude shown during a turbulent time following the death of Ann.
Christine listened to our order of service plan and offered ideas without taking over. She has a completely professional attitude but always makes you feel that you are in control.
Thanks again Christine you made a difference……
Julie, Steve and family.

Funeral for our baby girl

5 Stars
Sarah Athwal

Funeral | 05/28/2021 | Wellington Cemetery

Christine led the service at our baby girls funeral recently. Never in our wildest dreams did we ever think we’d be arranging a funeral for our baby. However, through a time of absolute pain and heartbreak Christine has shown us such kindness and compassion whilst planning for Poppy’s service. She took the time to really listen to us and was able to create the most beautiful and personal service for our little girl. We can’t thank you enough Christine.
