Hi, I'm Lucy
My speciality is the best of the South of France. Having lived there for 20 years, and been a luxury wedding planner in Provence and all along the Riviera, I know all about wonderful locations for your ceremony and how to make your ceremony truly memorable and special. Now as a celebrant, I create ceremonies for weddings, renewal of vows, and naming ceremonies. I divide my time between France, Italy and England and offer these ceremonies in each countries. I speak English and French, and conduct my ceremonies in English, but I can also do bilingual English/French ceremonies.

My style is classic, elegant and fun. Your ceremony needs gravitas, a real sense of occasion, and it can inspire everyone present to be more in love and ready to enjoy a great party.
Whether you are celebrating in France or in England, let the ceremony have “la joie de vie”, to make everyone feel joyous and delighted to be there. Also a certain “je ne sais quoi” that lifts it out of the ordinary and gives it a special twist.
My career journey has taken me from tour managing Americans in Egypt and Europe, to being a milliner creating hats for weddings and the races, both in England and France, to being a luxury wedding planner and now a life celebrant. As a celebrant I draw on all my life experiences and my ability to understand people’s wishes and translate them into fantastic occasions. I can’t wait to get started on yours….

As a wedding planner, I have sat in on well over 100 ceremonies conducted by many different officiants so I recognise what makes a really great ceremony, what truly touches people, what makes ceremonies memorable. What do I offer?
Weddings
My ideal couple are looking to have a ceremony that has their friends and family gripped from start to finish – they want to laugh, cry and feel incredibly happy. Typically my ideal couple comes from the USA, the UK, Australia or Ireland. They are in their early 30’s, have a large group of friends, many of them loyal from school days and university, joining them for a big celebration, and they want a ceremony that is original, entertaining and joyous.
They are not religious but they have a spiritual side and want the ceremony to make everyone think, and take away with them a heightened sense of love and spirituality.
All types of ceremonies. Everyone is welcome. The ceremony is created for your vows, reflecting your beliefs, celebrating all that is unique about you. Whatever your religious beliefs, culture, sexual orientation, your ceremony will be the perfect fit for you and your friends and family.
I don’t have set packages. Each of my wedding quotes are tailormade for you. I can offer extra help if you need advice on planning or choosing suppliers.
In the South of France, I can also plan your whole elopement for you if you are a couple wishing to have an intimate celebration just for the two of you.
I am very flexible in my approach and am happy to fit in with your plans and ideas.

£975 in the UK and £1750 in France, these prices include all the preparation of your unique ceremony, a walk-through if you wish the day before, and conducting the ceremony on the day. I try to include my travel costs in my fees as much as possible.

My knowledge of France and my experience of holding weddings in France can help enormously as you plan your wedding there, and I can help you communicate with your suppliers and give you advice in the leadup to the wedding. But both in France or England, my ceremonies are heartfelt, elegant, with beautiful vows, poetry that resonates, and a ceremony that leaves everyone present feeling uplifted and a better person.
Naming Ceremonies
I have trained as a life celebrant and I love to conduct all sorts of different ceremonies that celebrate life. Naming ceremonies can be very individual and creative. There are so many moments to celebrate in life, and naming ceremonies are perfect for picking a day to highlight something special. They can be birth of a baby, welcoming a child into a family upon adoption, bringing together two families and children through remarriage, or just beginning a new life, whether that follows divorce, change of gender, or an illness. There are also opportunities to celebrate a new home, a boat, a new business.
Baby namings, adoption, new family groups, transgender renaming are all occasions for special celebration. I also offer house-warming, boat and pet-naming ceremonies….
In other words, any excuse for a party and to celebrate life!

Because naming ceremonies are so joyous, and I love to enjoy and share joy.
Renewal of Vows
Often they are a couple who have been married for 10 or 25 years, and who are making a holiday to the South of France , with or without their family, and they want to include in their travels a special ceremony to renew their wedding vows. It is a celebration of their love for each other, appreciation for all they have achieved together and a chance to celebrate the journey they have been on together.
As these occasions are often small, I can help you to find the perfect venue for your ceremony, and recommend suppliers like photographers, videographers, musicians if you would like the occasion to be recorded and more elaborate.
Or we can just hold a simple ceremony with the three of us in a field of lavender. It is your choice.

I offer this service in both England and France, but I can highly recommend France – why not make it an excuse for a family holiday? I have done several ceremonies at private villas where the couple have had the Renewal of Vows witnessed by their family and friends who they are on holiday with.

I have been married for 36 years now, and together we have lived in America, France and the UK. Its been an adventure; we’ve created businesses, had great times, had tough times and ,bounced back; we’ve got three lovely children, we’ve lived with heartache and lost close family members. All this to say, that I have a lot of life experience which makes me a very understanding celebrant. Life is precious, and I like the find the amazing in every day. I am optimistic, love to laugh, and am endlessly curious. I bring this positivity to my ceremonies.
Funerals
As a civil celebrant I work with you, alongside your funeral director to create the appropriate funeral for you and your family. It can include religious elements, or be non-religious according to your beliefs.
I have trained with the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants in Funeral Celebrancy.
You may prefer having a Celebration of Life ceremony at a later date along with all your friends and extended family. With all my experience in wedding planning, we can create a joyous and unique occasion to truly celebrate the life of your loved one.

I only offer funerals in Wiltshire and surrounding counties, and mostly in the Autumn and Winter when I am not in France.
I will come and meet with the family in person, and spend a lot of time talking about the life of the deceased in order to be able to create a service that truly reflects them. I do really like having ceremonies in natural burial grounds as we have time. Time to really let people mourn, time to really talk and connect, and time to share with each other. There is something very natural about these very personal ceremonies and I always leave them feeling pleased to have helped and carried the service.

The Ceremony was Perfect
We worked with Lucy 10 years ago for our wedding. When we decided we wanted to return to the South of France to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we knew that Lucy had to be part of it. Not wanting to recreate the wedding, Lucy helped us think through what we wanted from the event – celebrating the amazing milestones of the past 10 years, as well as honoring those no longer with us. The ceremony was perfect, and every single friend and family member there remarked on how amazing Lucy is and how special it all was. We are so happy for the chance to work with her again – and our children absolutely adored her! We’re eyeing our 20th and a chance to work with her again.
