Hi, I'm Huw & Nia
Hi! We’re Huw and Nia – we’re a married couple of Independent Celebrants and we’d love to help you create a ceremony that totally reflects you and your personality. When we got married, we had no idea what a celebrant was and oh, the things we’d have done differently had we known! The ceremony is the reason your guests are there, so why let it be something that has to be endured, rather than enjoyed?
What's my ceremony style?
We approach every couple completely differently and we are totally adaptable. Want something more traditional – we got you. Want something completely out of the ordinary to wow your guests – we also got you! As independent celebrants, we aren’t constrained by any rules or beliefs – we can incorporate absolutely any ideas or wishes you want. Whatever ideas you have, we’d love to hear them – even if you’re not sure if they can be done, we’ll definitely help to try and find a way!
Nia is a fluent Welsh speaker so we are able to offer fully bilingual ceremonies. Eisiau seremoni Cymraeg? Cysylltwch â ni!

Our years of experience in other industries have taught us how important it is to listen to our clients. We will get to know you as a couple (or a family in the case of naming ceremonies), your hopes and dreams for the future, your likes and dislikes, to enable us to create a ceremony that’s absolutely perfect for you.
What do I offer?
Weddings
We love to work with couples who just want something that little bit different, couples who appreciate that the ceremony is the main reason their guests are there and want to make sure that the party starts right there!
Our wedding package includes:
-initial consultation
-ceremony planning and couple’s questionnaire
-ceremony planning meeting
-advice on readings, music or the inclusion of symbolic elements
-crafting and, of course, delivering, your perfect script!
We only take on one wedding a day, so we will be in no hurry to head off to another appointment. We’ll be around from before the ceremony to make sure everybody knows what they’re doing and where they need to be and when.
We also offer an optional upgrade to MC the rest of the day – take the pressure off the best man!

Naming Ceremonies
You might have thought that, if you’re not into a religious Christening ceremony, there’s no real alternative. That’s where we come in! A naming ceremony is the perfect way to welcome a new arrival into the family, whether that’s by birth, adoption, or the blending of two families. It gives family and friends the chance to celebrate with the family, share their hopes and wishes for the little one. It is also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the appointment of “guide-parents” “guardians” or, our personal favourite “fairy godparents”!
We will meet with each family to find out exactly what they want from their ceremony – perhaps they want to stick to a more traditional format, along the lines of a christening service, or perhaps they want to throw tradition out the window and just have a whopping great big party to welcome the new arrival!
We can include symbolic elements such as tree planting, time capsules or sand ceremonies, suggest readings or poems by the parents or from family and friends.
Whatever you choose, we’ll be there to help you along the way.

Renewal of Vows
Whether you want to celebrate a milestone anniversary, have a big party after a micro-wedding (covid style!), celebrate a wedding abroad right here at home, or simply re-do a wedding now that you know how fabulous a celebrant-led ceremony can be, our vow renewal service is the one for you.
Much as with a wedding ceremony, we will get to know you as a couple to find out exactly what you want from your ceremony. Were there elements of your original ceremony that you loved and want to re-do? Were there things you wish you’d included and hadn’t?
We will work with you to make your ceremony absolutely perfect!

Why choose Huw & Nia for your renewal of vows?
We have been married for over ten years and know how love evolves and grows with time. We will approach a vow renewal in exactly the same way as a wedding – why should it be any less special doing it second time around?!
Funerals
Our job is to make those hardest moments after the loss of a loved one just that little bit easier, by guiding the family through the steps to create a ceremony worthy of the person they have lost.
We can offer traditional funeral services, natural burials, more relaxed or colourful celebrations of life, but also offer an end of life service, to allow people the freedom to discuss their own funeral wishes directly with us, where they may not feel comfortable doing so with their family.

We have strong links with local funeral directors and will do all we can to ensure those hardest days are made just that little bit easier. The person that you have lost is special and unique and deserves a funeral ceremony that isn’t pulled from a book, or copied and pasted from the previous service. We will get to know them through your stories and carefully crafted questions, to enable us to prepare a funeral service that completely reflects your loved one. We can suggest readings and music choices to pull the service together. We are empathetic and respectful and will always be at the end of the phone for any worries you may have.

We will never forget what you have done for us
Meeting Nia & Huw was like catching up with old friends as they made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. We had a few good laughs while getting to know each other and this made a great foundation for our actual wedding day as both Nia & Huw knew exactly what they were doing due to the information gathered with their carefully crafted couples questionnaire, which was fun to fill in.
On our wedding day Nia was such a pleasure to see when she came to see me getting ready, she made me relax when she run through everything with me as Nia was so calm about it all.
All our guest still keep saying how it really was the most magical wedding they have been to and it was so difficult to keep a dry eye while standing there infront of Nia with my husband to be. Nia & Huw are very gifted at what they do, but are also the most generous, kind, thoughtful and caring people you will ever meet and trust me, you really don’t want to trust such a special day to anyone else.
