Hi, I'm Lisa
I am lucky enough to be a qualified independent celebrant in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Its an honour for me to be involved in the most memorable part of your lives – to help you create amazing ceremonies where memories are made and dreams are created, all out of love and respect.
Whatever the occasion, you can be assured that as a professionally trained independent celebrant I will work with you to ensure that your ceremony reflects your ideas. My ceremonies are unique to you, hand written every time and with no rules on wording and I am here to guide you every step of the way.
Life is too short for the mundane and your day should be as wonderful as you, it should be all about you, your personality, your style and the way you like to live your life.
Whether its a happy occasion or a sad one, they are all special.
What's my ceremony style?
Love is amazing and being a true romantic I believe it is a precious gift. I am honoured to be able to create ceremonies out of love, and to celebrate love.
I love all types of ceremonies as they all offer something different, unique and fun and I consider it a very special gift to be part of your day.
Your uniqueness will be acknowledged and celebrated at your special ceremony and I look forward to creating that memory with you.
Everyone loves a good wedding ceremony or vow renewal – whether it’s a large gathering or an intimate setting, it can be as memorable as you want it to be.
Funerals and memorials are special, and a real privilege to be a part of – the celebration of someone’s life can and should be truly special, remembered by all.

Weddings
By working with me as your celebrant, I can help you to achieve the perfect ceremony and one which will be memorable for all the right reasons – simply because it was about you as a couple and is not just a standard script which had your names inserted at key points.
Through building up a creative connection, I will write and officiate a ceremony that reflects both you and your love in equal measure – in a way that feels most personal to you.

It totally doesn’t matter how you do it, the important thing is that your guests will recognise both you and your love on the day that it matters most.
Your venue does not need to be licensed with a celebrant-led ceremony and so think outside of the box, and pick a setting that inspires you.
Your ceremony is the foundation upon which the rest of your day is built, so let’s make it the day that everyone talks about, and ensure it is all about you.
Naming Ceremonies
A Naming Ceremony is a very special way of welcoming a new child in the family and I can help you create this with an appropriate sense of occasion. These are a lovely alternative to a more formal and religious christening
It is a unique event that allows everyone to feel involved as they pledge their love and support for your child’s future development and can be one of the earliest opportunities to welcome a new baby into the circle of family and friends. It can also be the perfect opportunity to welcome adoptive or step-children into a family.
It is an occasion to declare your promises to be as good a parent as you can, and for adult friends or relatives to confirm their special relationship with your child.
Your Naming Ceremony can be specially created using your own selection of words, poems and readings, either from the wide selection I can provide or from other sources and can be as formal or informal as you wish. The location might be your home or garden, a village hall, a hotel function room or a place special to your family.
Ceremonies can be combined with symbolic actions that have meaning to the family, such as sand ceremonies, tree-planting, candle-lighting, or hand or foot-printing.

Funerals
Funerals are the last and final chance we have to say our goodbyes; to honour the person who has died and to pay tribute to them in the most appropriate manner. It’s one of the hardest things in life that any of us have to do and it’s a crucial part of the grieving process to ensure that the final farewell is exactly right.
I am able to provide sensitive and respectful home visits, during which time I will glean information about your loved one, whilst offering guidance about music, poems and readings, to really capture the essence of the person. I encourage participation from family and friends and can discuss this with you at the family meeting.
Once the celebration of life tribute has been drafted, I will then telephone or if you prefer visit you and your family to go through the ceremony, ensuring that you’re fully aware of what will be said and the order of the day.
On the day, I will meet you, your family and loves ones at the Crematorium or chosen resting place, liaise with the Funeral Director and perform the ceremony.
You’ll also receive a commemorative keepsake copy of the service to keep memories close to your heart.

What you have so openly shared with me will then enable me to start composing a beautiful, personal ceremony to ensure that the deceased takes centre stage for the last time – a Ceremony which will be both a celebration of their life and a gentle mourning of their loss.
A book of remembrance is a blank book in which family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances of someone that has died can write condolences and memories.
I am here to guide and assist you through this difficult and emotional time, a simple call is all it takes.

Funeral review
Lisa stepped in at short notice as Celebrant for my Dads funeral. She gave him the best send off we could have asked for with both the information we had given her but also with the addition of her own lovely words. Done in a respectful way but also with a hint of humour. She was very supportive on the day to the family and the presentation to us of a beautiful booklet of the service in full was a lovely touch.
