Clients seeking offbeat, funky and totally meaningful celebrations are fantastic to work with. If that’s you, let’s talk.
I’m so not into trying to reproduce a Registrar’s dull cut & paste ceremony (sorry!) or have your guests bored rigid! My unique, personalised ceremonies are full of love and laughter. I ‘suit and boot’ beautifully but also have a fun, colourful personal wardrobe full of fluff and sequins, biker jackets and coloured docs if that fits your vibe!
Each of my sparkling, joyful ceremonies are written ‘from scratch’ – incorporating ideas, symbolic elements, readings, music, hobbies or themes important to my clients. I listen carefully to my clients’ needs and, with an MA in poetry, I’m a whizz with words!
As an INDEPENDENT CELEBRANT, I’m free to weave in ANY of your wishes!
What's my ceremony style?
My style is witty, warm and caring – and ORIGINAL. I connect with everyone I meet and have a stonking sense of humour.
Your guests will feel happy before you enter the room, with briefings as to how they can get involved at appropriate points. I love guests to be involved where possible – with wish boats, warmed goodwill pebbles, applause, a group vow, ring warmings, a group hand-squeeze, a loving circle, blessings or tributes in a hat – we can discuss whether any of these ideas intrigue you!
A clothes chameleon, I’m equally happy as a hippy chic, in fancy dress, in my leather-look biker jacket or dragonfly vegan docs, or scrubbed up nicely in ‘posh gear’ for high end venues – I’ll happily fit your vibe!
What is MOST important is that each ceremony is fresh and avoids the mundane! YOUR ceremony will be something to treasure forever, with a keepsake copy gifted to you.

In a 2020 vow renewal, the disabled groom amazingly walked in by himself to a ceremony FULL of love and laughter. I’d liaise with your photographer, venue, planner and guests to ensure every aspect of your ceremony is amazing! Clients feel happy and confident EVERY STEP of the way, as well as wel as totally looked-after and involved in our collaborative process. Nothing is too much trouble, and I’m happy to be regularly on-hand to support, advise and share ideas – which includes mentoring speakers and helping you find suitable music and readings. What do I offer?
Weddings
I love to work with couples who love to laugh, are fairly laid-back, and who are adventurous!
My favourite ceremony type reflects a couple’s interests and passions – past ceremonies have revolved around Game of Thrones, Escape Rooms, Robert Frost poetry, a couple’s love of rivers (with wishboats set out on the water). Where other family and friends can be involved in the ceremony also makes for a more unique and meaningful ceremony, as detailed above in my general introduction (I avoid repetition in ceremonies too!)
I love to to incorporate words, music or lyrics from them that are important to each couple in each ceremony. A ceremony that is structured ONLY with what each couple wants or values, one that they will remember with love for the rest of their lives is my aim. If the grooms walks in second, fine! If the services opens with a reading or key words…. great! Let’s talk …
Prop loans where I have them (eg a loving cup, bubble machine), PA use, vow cards and ceremonial keepsake scripts are FREE. I help all couples with their vows if n ‘Keeping it Simple’ -£550 all planning and coordination by video, or meetings local to TR11. to my. ‘Fully Attended Package’ – £750 – All video/ in person meetings needed, a full physical rehearsal AND an online vow-writing workshop. ‘Writing Only Package’ – £350! Do you have a fabulous friend or relative that needs some writing and coaching support to deliver a wonderful ceremony? I’ll happily help them in the lead up to your day. My contract process is clear and simple – a £150 Booking Fee secures your date and is included in the overall fee. I then close that date off.

Naming Ceremonies
I’m a very creative, attentive and experienced Celebrant who has been leading services, public speaking events and other presentations for decades. After formally training in 2 016, I work exclusively as a Celebrant and constantly update my skills. Working with couples and families is a pure joy and I focus on making each and every service unique and special.
I offer truly personalised and beautiful Naming and Family Blending Ceremonies. These tell ‘your story’ as parents and how your child came into your lives, or how your families have blended. As an adoptive mum, I also love adoption ceremonies which are so totally meaningful. If you wish to have symbolic elements and readings incorporated, I can help you make the right choices which suit you all. I love these events to be loving, magical and joyful – and they always are with me!

Renewal of Vows
Working with all kinds of couples and families is a pure joy and I focus on making each and every service unique and special. Meeting couples from all walks of life and finding AMAZING ways of celebrating their love & renewing their vows is a total joy!
I love to work with couples who love to laugh, are fairly laid-back, and who adventurously think outside of the box. It is great to create a ceremony that meets all of their dreams and totally reflects them as individuals.
My favourite ceremony type reflects a couple’s interests and passions – past ceremonies have revolved around Game of Thrones, Escape Rooms, Robert Frost poetry, a couple’s love of rivers (with wish-boats set out on the water). Favourite readings or songs can also set the keynote for a gorgeous service. Where other family and friends can be involved in the ceremony also makes for a more unique and meaningful ceremony.
I absolutely love Vow Renewals and giving couples the chance to celebrate the time passed, to reiterate (and add to!) the vows you made all those years ago if you wish – or to start from scratch with a totally fresh set of commitments – whatever works for you both! A Renewal can be so much freer and more creative than your original wedding and my services are happy, laid back, often funny and TOTALLY loving.

Funerals
I’m a very creative, attentive and experienced Celebrant who has been leading services, public speaking events and other presentations for decades. After formally training in 2016, I work exclusively as a Celebrant and constantly update my skills. Working with couples and families is a pure joy and I focus on making each and every service unique and special.
I work closely with bereaved families to create beautiful Celebrations of Life which acknowledge how much there is to be thankful for in having had your loved one in your life. Each service is unique, with much time spent writing about your loved one’s life. I talk to relatives and friends to build a full, detailed tribute. I add personal and touching details such as photo candles, themes and music choices, and I support readers to be involved where possible.
Funerals can and should be so much more meaningful and personalised than they have traditionally been and I am happy to help create ceremonies that are truly memorable and bespoke.

Ana did the reading for my Father’s funeral. What a lovely lady. She spent several hours with myself and 2 sisters chatting about Dad. Diligently making notes. On the day of the funeral she delivered the reading with such feeling, making it so interesting and amusing. At the end she had taken the time to make up a little ditty about myself and sisters and the roles we played in the latter years of his life. Highly recommended.

Ana felt like a family friend
Ana was absolutely amazing when we decided to renew our vows after 10 years. she put us at ease as we didn’t know where to start and made it so personal with voice/ video calls right in the middle of covid. on the day she was nothing but professional making it all so special including our 12 year old daughter making her and us feel very happy. By the time we had finished Ana felt like a family friend we’d known for ages. The hand fasting was an amazing touch too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤
