Hi, I'm Sam
I am an Elemental Celebrant, trained on the Magical Isle of Avalon in Glastonbury, the Heart Chakra of the World. Based in the heart of Bedford.
Holding space for ceremony and ritual in our busy 21st century world is ever more important, and is deeply healing.
My training focused on inclusivity and we worked closely with the LGBTQIA+ community, naming ceremonies in particular being really important here. I work with adults and children at all stages of life and beyond!
What's my ceremony style?
I can create a meaningful ritual ceremony to mark important events along life’s colourful journey – baby naming, name changing, handfastings – weddings, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies / letting go / rebirthing, eldering / croning / saging, passing over ceremonies (before a funeral and memorials), interment / scattering of ashes ceremony. House and land blessings, new beginnings, divorce (unbindings), Mother blessings and any other personal transitional rite of passage you can think of… using the 4 elements that make up nature all around us, the world and our bodies, air, fire, water and earth, with the celebrant at the centre holding the 5th element we work together to create something really magical and special, unique to only you.
Although I am based in Bedford, I’m also happy to travel, please get in touch for a chat.

I pride myself on being able to offer unscripted and therefore totally unique and personalised ceremonies and rituals. I bring in all my experience as a holistic therapist, trainer, mentor, healer, hedgerow herbalist, soul midwife and practitioner of green witchcraft and folk magic to create beautiful, healing ceremonies and rituals that honour you and your loved ones, the land and the seasons and cycles. I will spend a lot of time in consultation with you to ensure every detail for your ceremony is as perfect as we can make it for you.

Renewal of Vows
My vow renewal ceremonies are as my handfasting/wedding ceremonies. A vow renewal is as important as the first time and so there is no skimping back on what i offer to my couples.
It can be as elaborate or as intimate as you wish.

Magical Support Gifted Us the Perfect Day!
Sam created the most beautiful personalised wedding package for us. As soon as we met for the first time (on zoom, because we live in Australia and we’re organising the day from abroad) Sam made us feel safe and listened to.
She explained everything step by step and gave us the freedom to pick and mix our ceremony to meet our own unique needs. We knew and trusted she would be working on everything behind the scenes in the UK in the lead up.
Not only this but Sam and her team looked after us spiritually in the lead up- I was having some emotional issues with Ill health in the family and in myself- Sam offered a sound healing for me that cleared all my negative energy away- and left me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated for our special day.
We were also able to work with Sam to create our own personal incense blend that reminds us of our magical day forever.
Sam is so talented and kind, her supportive nature and skills in magic and love created so much more space for us to relax and enjoy our day knowing everything was under control.
Not only did we feel at peace but our whole congregation ( the majority catholic and had never seen a hand fasting before) understood and felt connected to the event as Sam and Simone gently led them through each ritual with explanation and clarity so everyone knew the meaning of our choices on the day.
It was the best day of our lives and I am so glad to have chosen Aurora Star! We would do it all again if we could- exactly the same way. 5 stars – I would give 10 if I could.
My family and friends now regularly visit Sam for massage therapy and healing sessions. She is a true medicine woman. Thank you Sam ! Xxxx
Wedding ceremony
Sam is the most beautiful person and a very talented celebrant. The ceremony we had was beautiful and feels so personal. Everyone has said that it was the best wedding they have been to! Sam from the get go keeps in contact and answers all questions and give any help where needed. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! Full of love and happiness.
Our Handfasting ❤️
Sam helped us craft the perfect ceremony – an outdoor handfasting. Our guests loved it as much as we did, revelling in the stillness, the quiet solemnity, and most importantly, the great element of fun that Sam created.
Before the event Sam spent time with us, albeit on Zoom thanks to certain restrictions… to get to know us better. She offered a framework for the ceremony, which guided us in writing our own words and vows. On the actual day she had lots of little extras up her sleeve, and presented us with a lovely memory box at the end.
We wholeheartedly recommend Sam as a traditional handfasting celebrant with a Glastonbury twist. We treasure the memories of our special day – thank you Sam xx
