Hi, I'm Helen
Ceremonies with a mix of humour and heartfelt are my speciality. Whatever you are celebrating my aim is to create and perform a ceremony that is memorable for all the right reasons. I live in Sheffield, so regularly travel across Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Happy to travel further afield – I do love an adventure!

I write humour-filled ceremonies for modern, fun couples and families. If you want your guests to feel part of your ceremony, perhaps play an active role in your ceremony I would love to chat with you.

Being a celebrant is a hugely important part of my life – I get to work creatively with you to design a day that is truly about you and for you. I want it to be a fun experience but also as stress-free as possible! I can adapt to your needs and wishes whilst making suggestions if required. As well as being an experienced celebrant I am also a trainer and mentor for The Academy of Modern Celebrancy, helping to train those wishing to enter this amazing industry.

The content of a celebrant ceremony is not restricted to any culture, faith or religion. I currently live in Sheffield, so am happy to travel across Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Being a celebrant is a hugely important part of my life – I get to work creatively with you to design a day that is truly about you and for you. I want it to be a fun experience but also as stress-free as possible! I can adapt to your needs and wishes whilst making suggestions if required. More humour-filled than lovey-dovey hearts and flowers, I will tell your story with passion, with expression and with joy.
Naming Ceremonies
There are all sorts of reasons why families may want to gather their nearest and dearest together to celebrate. As well as a new arrival in the shape of a baby, people decide to have a naming celebration for their children of all ages. Adoption is another great reason for a naming celebration, allowing parents and wider family to welcome their newest member of the family. And what about when two families become one? These days there are plenty of couples who have children from previous relationships. What better way to cement these two halves coming together than with a party, with ceremony attached of course.

I will help you to plan and create a memorable ceremony that celebrates your marriage so far, perhaps touches on struggles or highlights your highs, as well as looking to the future and your plans. I live in Sheffield, so am happy to travel across Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Also happy to travel further afield – I do love an adventure!
Choosing to renew your vows is such a fabulous decision and should be a magical moment. I will work with you to create a ceremony that reflects the journey you have been on as a couple, as a family (pets, children). This is such a wonderful excuse to share the highs (and possibly give a nod to the lows) and express your enduring love for each other. More humour-filled than lovey-dovey hearts and flowers, I will tell your story with passion, with expression and with joy.

A lovely reassuring presence
Thank you so much for being part of our special day and creating such a beautiful ceremony for us. It was so fun working with you and you were such a lovely reassuring presence on the day.
You won’t be disappointed
I’m never the one to know how to start these reviews so I’m going to go straight into it, if you are looking for a celebrant for your wedding in and around South Yorkshire, just choose Helen, you won’t be disappointed.
From having a video call when we first met to the ceremony itself, Helen has been absolutely amazing. People can’t stop talking about and I don’t blame them. It’s so personal, funny and heartfelt, I can safely say it wasn’t just me that cried during. A lot of guest even said it’s the best ceremony they have ever witnessed and even went up to Helen themselves to tell her how great she was.
It felt as the ceremony melted into the rest of the day instead of everyone waiting for it to finished which is exactly what we wanted. We just wanted a ceremony that was catered to us and to show all our friends and family our love for each other in our own way and Helen made that happen.
If we ever want to Renew our vows, we will be going straight to Helen, no doubt about it ❤️

Helen really delivered everything we wanted and more
We still say that having a celebrant led wedding and choosing Helen was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!
From that first call we knew we wanted Helen to lead our ceremony. She was so full of energy, so friendly and made us feel so comfortable. Being together so long before getting married we really wanted a personal touch that included our little boy and it was just that. So many people have commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony and it made it as much as a celebration as every other part of the day.
If you’re on the fence about having a celebrant have a chat with Helen and that decision will be an easy one and one you won’t regret! Helen really delivered everything we wanted and more.
