Hi. My name is Louise and I am an independent family celebrant. Whether it’s your wedding, naming your child or saying goodbye to somebody special, it is my privilege to create a bespoke, uniquely tailored ceremony for you and your loved ones to treasure.
Having worked as a teacher for many years, I decided to put my skills to a different use. Listening, planning, organizing, working together, performing and delivering your unique ceremony are some of the strengths my previous vocation was able to give me.
In addition to this, I have found that meeting you and your families, hearing your stories of life and love, have been an unexpected pleasure to this new role.

Celebration of the life of Gemma Margaret BOYD
After the sudden and tragic loss of our daughter, Gemma, Louise was recommended as a Celebrant for the celebration of Gemma’s life. We live near Chelmsford, Essex.
Louise is considerate and kind and showed empathy with the family when we met to discuss our wishes for Gemma’s service.
We managed this despite Covid19 infections in the family by the use video technology.
Louise obtained all relevant information required from the family in a gentle and measured way taking into account the grief and raw emotions at our sudden loss.
Louise liaised directly with the Writtle Co-Op Funeral Directors and produced draft eulogy and Order of Service on behalf of the family, within agreed timescales.
Louise was available out of hours and over the week-end to deal with any issues both on the telephone and e-mail, working to meet these timescales for Funeral Directors and printing.
Louise helped organise and directed the service on the day, faultlessly delivering our Eulogy on behalf of the family.
She was dignified and respectful towards Gemma and all present at our ceremony.
