Hi, I'm Rosalie
Hi, I’m Rosalie (she/her), award-winning celebrant based in London.
I create warm, truthful and sensitive ceremonies with a cosmopolitan touch. By carefully listening to your personal story, your ideas for the day and your views on life, love and death, I create and deliver unique and memorable ceremonies for any life-event.
The wedding side of my business is called Fusion Weddings (www.fusionweddings.co.uk). I capture stories of adventurous couples who value creativity, style and contemporary ways of celebrating their love. I specialise in multicultural, bilingual (Dutch/German/French-English) ceremonies in London & the UK, and destination weddings in London and worldwide.
I believe funerals can be beautiful, positive events. I create inclusive funeral ceremonies for people of all beliefs and none: at traditional chapels, woodland sites, alternative venues and also on Zoom. Check out my services at www.ritualstoday.co.uk
What's my ceremony style?
Being Dutch and fascinated by rituals from around the world, many of the couples I work with have an international or multicultural background. We work together to find a fun, relaxed and fitting way on how to incorporate multiple traditions within the wedding ceremony. I have conducted weddings in Morocco, France, Greece, Guernsey, Germany, the Netherlands, USA. I deliver bilingual wedding ceremonies in English/Dutch/German and French.
The funerals and memorial services I conduct are about the person who has died and provide a space for the living to say their farewells in a way that feels right for them. I love finding creative and meaningful ways to connect people in grief and love. I believe funerals can be approached in a modern, positive way. I have conducted ceremonies in private gardens, art galleries, outdoors and online via Zoom.

What do I offer?
Weddings
I capture stories of couples who value creativity, style and contemporary ways of celebrating their love.
Such as David and Winnie, who celebrated their love in art-deco style that included a Chinese tea ceremony, a vintage radio player, and quote from The Little Prince.
Or Connor and Jessica, who said their ‘I do’s’ on the stair case of Battersea Arts centre in London, inspired by the movies of Wes Anderson.
And then Rosalie and Barry, who invited their guests to France, to witness their commitments in a carousel!
I offer wedding and renewal ceremonies in London, UK and worldwide, in person and online.
Big weddings, micro weddings, small weddings, elopements: you name it!
If you are looking for an MC for the rest of your day, I can offer that too.
Should you have nominated someone else to do the ceremony I can help them design the ceremony, write the script and coach them to ensure they shine on the day.

Why choose Rosalie for your renewal of vows?
People appreciate my warm, creative and fun-loving approach. I love to engage the audience an co-create an event with you that people will cherish and remember.
Funerals
I believe that funerals can be positive, meaningful events that help acknowledge a death, pay tribute to a life lived, release emotions that come with a loss, and find continuity in the relationship with the person who has died.
Every funeral and memorial ceremony I create is unique. I work at traditional chapels but also have led ceremonies at alternative locations:
June’s funeral took place in her own garden. We decorated her coffin with flowers from her garden and read from her favourite Jane Austen book.
For their Mum’s memorial service her children chose an art gallery to celebrate her life. After the ceremony people could visit an exhibition of her work.
Emmy’s memorial was in Holland Park, where her ashes arrived on a Harley Davidson.
Baby Evan’s funeral was at a local wood where he loved walking with his parents.
I conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in London, UK and abroad. I also offer Zoom funeral and memorial services, enabling people to gather from all over the world to celebrate a life.
If you’d like to plan your own funeral I can help you bring together a living document to collect your ideas and plan for the day.
A living funeral is a way to celebrate your life while you are still alive. It’s a wonderful way to bring those dear to you together, share memorable stories and have a party.

Wonderful personal bilingual wedding ceremony!
Rosalie helped us to craft a beautiful and personal ceremony for our wedding in Richmond in autumn 2024. We were looking for a Dutch-speaking celebrant to conduct a bilingual ceremony and Rosalie was the perfect fit for the job – and so much more. Rosalie is very experienced but had lots of ideas to make our ceremony a very special and unique blend of our personalities, families and cultures. Rosalie was responsive and open and it was very smooth to organise the script and vows together. On the day, we received so many compliments on Rosalie and our ceremony! Rosalie was calm and delivered everything perfectly. We cannot thank Rosalie enough for her role in our day and we highly recommend Rosalie to anyone thinking about a fun, personal and thoughtful ceremony.
Absolutely Wonderful Funeral Service
Absolutely wonderful funeral ceremony for my brother!! I used Rosalie for my brother Tony’s funeral on 11th December 2024.
It is impossible for me to speak more highly of Rosalie. Her professional approach was outstanding!! We first met up in a cafe to talk about my brother in order for her to make notes of his life. Then two days later she gave me a rough draft to approve. She ensured that she also reached out to other close relatives for their approval. Throughout the process, Rosalie was friendly, supportive, empathetic, knowledgeable and professional. On the day, the funeral ceremony was flawless… perfect!! Thank you, so much Rosalie.
Compassionate and Outstanding Support in a Difficult Time
Rosalie played an instrumental role in making a very challenging event possible. She went above and beyond the tasks assigned, approaching the situation with exceptional empathy and tact. Her efforts ensured that no additional burdens were placed on an already grieving family, demonstrating her dedication and compassion.
