Hi, I'm Alison
My name is Alison Darlington. I started Silver Hare Celebrations so I could offer people ceremonies that really resonate with their lives. I’m passionate about our planet; love Marvel films, my dogs and a Sunday roast; and really, love creating ceremonies. My ceremonies are full of fun and laughter, heavily sprinkled with love and romance and are a true reflection of you through the words, the music and the location.
Life is extraordinary, and you are too, so don’t settle for a less than extraordinary ceremony.
What's my ceremony style?
We are all unique and it is my job to showcase you and your unique love story. This is your special day and I will help you create a ceremony that truly reflects you and your style. No matter what ideas you may have I am sure we can find a way to build a day that is a true reflection of you and your personality. Everyone deserves their happy ever after and I offer a fully inclusive service to all. Plus I’m a big fan of involving your pets in your ceremony if you want. The sky is the limit with a celebrant led ceremony so if you are worried your ideas might not suit everyone, why not bounce them past me first and let’s see if we can make them happen.

I have always been a huge fan of storytelling…both the listening to and the telling. It is so important that your ceremony tells your story with the words you want to use and reflects you openly and honestly. I will take the time to truly listen to you and then create the perfect ceremony to reflect your personal stories. I love people, young, old and in between, and really enjoy getting to know what makes them tick. Hopefully I will quickly make you feel comfortable and at ease so that we can all relax and start bringing your special day to life.
What do I offer?
Weddings
My ideal couple would be anyone who comes to me with an open heart and open mind. I don’t really have a favourite ceremony, every single ceremony has the potential to be my favourite as each is unique.
All my ceremonies are priced from £600 and include a certificate and a keepsake copy of the full ceremony.

Celebrant lead ceremony on day
Extra Costs Include:
Travel over 20 miles from home charged at 45p/mile
One night’s accommodation before ceremony if more than 80 miles from home
Themed outfit
Material costs for additional ceremony elements such as handtying, unity candle or time capsule for example
I can also give prices for writing just your vows or writing a full ceremony for someone else to deliver on the day. Whatever you need, I can talk through the details and we can make a plan.

Naming Ceremonies
Naming Ceremony
A naming ceremony for your child is an opportunity to bring family and friends together to celebrate the apple of your eye. Your own garden is often the place your child will be most relaxed, but how about your local park, your favourite picnic spot or down on the beach.
All our ceremonies are priced from £450 and include a certificate and a keepsake copy of the full ceremony.

Renewal of Vows
It is often the story behind a renewal of vows that makes these some of my favourite ceremonies to conduct. Maybe the couple have passed a special milestone in their marriage and as well as celebrating their Golden Wedding, for example, they want to reaffirm their love for each other with a renewal ceremony. Or perhaps the relationship has hit a rocky patch and a renewal ceremony will help them remember why they fell in love in the first place. Whatever the reason – an illness, a long separation or simply a chance to wear your wedding dress again, they are all my favourites.

Wonderful marriage celebration
Alison is a wonderful celebrant; she was incredibly helpful while preparing the celebration of our marriage, offering insightful suggestions which responded to our choices and the kind of ceremony that we wanted. She was very respectful of us being gay and transgender, sensitive to our identities and embraced the diversity of the congregation, and cherished the ways in which our wedding would be non-traditional.
During the ceremony, Alison was a delight; her speech was beautifully delivered, she was encouraging of me, my husband and other speakers, and made the congregation laugh and cry with joy.
She helped make our wedding day incredibly special, and celebrated our love with us. I would recommend her to anyone, especially other queer couples.
