Hi, I’m Joana and I am the celebrant extraordinaire in Portugal who will bring joy, meaning, originality, captivating and unforgettable moments to your wedding ceremony, elopement, vow renewal, or naming ceremony.
Can you imagine a ceremony thought out and created UNIQUE and EXCLUSIVELY for you, with all the elements and rituals you like and with the tedious formalities left out?
That is exactly what I do, and I love it.
I work with couples in Portugal, Spain, Italy, and beyond to create one-of-a-kind wedding ceremonies that people will be talking about for years.
As a celebrant I’m not just a ceremony writer, I’m a storyteller of life, and I would love to tell yours.

The ceremony was perfect
Joana celebrated our wedding in September 2023 and we are very happy.
She made sure our celebration was in both Portuguese and English, considering that my husband and most of our guests did not speak Portuguese. The ceremony was perfect!

Moving Ceremony
We had never attended a non-religious wedding celebration before, but luckily, we found out about Joana’s work and decided that her style was what we wanted.
Joana was always very friendly and patient (as there was always a lot of nervousness before the wedding day) and she managed to calm and guide us through all the stages.
She maintained regular contact and sought to know our history, from us and our family and friends. In addition, she was open to introducing traditions from my country (Morocco) into our celebration.
On the day of the wedding, she was very professional and empathetic. Joana showed up in advance to get to know all the details (venue, music, etc.) and helped welcome the guests with great friendliness and her sweet smile.
She managed to write and narrate our love story in such a way that moved us and everyone present, always adding a little humor.
Therefore, we highly recommend Joana’s excellent work and professionalism, and we couldn’t be happier that she celebrated our dream day!
