Hi, I'm Janice
Hello, my name is Janice O’Callaghan. I am a professional legal celebrant/solemniser I am a member of Entheos Ireland and I am a wedding, funeral and community celebrant. I am a HSE registered solemniser, which means I can perform legal ceremonies seven days a week anywhere in Ireland. I have awards for both writing and public speaking and have over twenty years experience in event management and the hospitality industry. I decided to become a celebrant after tying to arrange a ceremony for my grandmother who had passed, I found it difficult not being able to create a more personal ceremony that really represented who my grandmother was. So my jouney began. I now write and perform ceremonies for people and with people, always listening to what they want.

Your love story is written from the beginning, sometimes including heartstopping and beautiful memories.
We will work together to ensure you are completely happy and fully confident that your ceremony is exactly what you want and unique to you and your family.

I also love to bring my broomstick,( I promise not to arrive on it.) I love to perform the ancient tradition of jumping the broom.
In today’s society, families can be blended and varied and I can create the perfect ceremony to reflect this.
Some couples also like a nod to religion with a prayer or a spiritual reading included and others like it playful and fun with their children or their fur babies involved.

As an animal lover I love to see your fur babies involved in your special day. If you’d like your fur baby to be the ring bearer or your best fur buddy, I would be more than delighted to include them.

My ideal couple are couple who wish to have a bespoke and unique ceremony created with them and their family in mind and who want to share their amazing love story with their friends and family on their special day.
I can deliver many different types of ceremonies formal and informal but always professional and well planned in a range of settings.
However, my favourite ceremony, no matter where it is, is when a couple are stress free, relaxed and confident in me knowing that we have worked together to deliver their ceremony, their way.
Every ceremony is unique with prices starting at €550. I will travel anywhere in the country but a mileage fee may depending on your location.

Naming Ceremonies
Your baby’s name is one of the first gifts you bestow on them. You might have thought about it for months or perhaps it’s a family name passed down through generations. A baby’s name can represent a families ideals and aspirations for their beloved child and taking all of this into consideration I will work with the parents to create a beautiful, memorable naming ceremony.
Packages start from €300 and are bespoke to each family.
In today’s modern society, families can be blended and have many different traditions and beliefs, I will take this into consideration when creating your baby’s naming ceremony and work with the parents to ensure the day is everything you imagined.

Funerals
I am a trained funeral celebrant with Entheos Ireland in conjunction with The Irish Funeral Directors and Die with Pride.

I will meet with the family and create a ceremony with love and respect to eulogise their loved ones.
The ceremony can include candle ceremonies, readings, poems and their loved ones favourite music.
Ceremonies can be religious, non-religious or a blend of both depending on your needs and wishes.
Ceremonies can be performed in the loved ones home, chapel of rest, crematoria, cemeteries or a wide variety of locations if you wish to scatter your loved ones ashes.

Janice was a pleasure to deal with right from the beginning. She listened to exactly what we were looking for and took all the stress away from us. She made it all so simple. From just one pre meeting, she really got to know us and knew exactly what we were looking for. I love how she included our boys and family aswell. It just goes to show how good she is.
