I became a Celebrant because I wanted to help create unique and individual ceremonies for my clients. I love creating unique and bespoke ceremonies. I create couple’s ceremonies, naming ceremonies and funeral ceremonies. I am trained in symbolic acts, such as handfasting, unity candles and many more, which can be placed within your ceremony to bring so much more meaning. At Bohemian Ceremonies my clients take the lead; it is your ceremony after all.
What's my ceremony style?
Bohemian Ceremonies is just that, anything goes. My clients tell me what they want, and I make it happen, the sky really is the limit. If you want a themed ceremony, no problem. If you want your ceremony small and simple or big and lavish, I’ll create the ceremony which befits the circumstance. I want my clients to have a ceremony to remember and that they did it their way.

Weddings
The world is made up of so many different people and meeting so many diverse couples is wonderful. I can honestly say that just being part of such a brilliant time in a couple’s life is a privilege. I love ceremonies where my couples have unique ideas for their ceremony and then I meet the challenge of bringing them to light.
My wedding package includes an initial meeting, writing and re-writing of the script as many times as is required, delivery of the ceremony, symbolic acts etc. I offer my couples 100% support from their initial contact to the delivery. I understand that planning a wedding can be stressful at times and I’m here to take away some of that stress.

I am a professionally trained independent celebrant with an NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Naming and Couples (RQF) and an NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Funerals (RQF). These are the highest celebrant’s qualification in the United Kingdom. I am also a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants. So, you can have 100% trust in me that your ceremony is in very safe hands.

Naming Ceremonies
Naming ceremonies can be calm or chaotic but either way I love them. Creating a naming ceremony with my clients is amazing. There is so much joy welcoming a new member into the family and to be able to be a part of such a magical time is fantastic.
I work with my clients to create the perfect naming ceremony. I will find out about their family and write their story into the ceremony. We can incorporate symbolic acts to really make the ceremony memorable for everyone attending.

The whole concept of a naming ceremony are children, which means it can be rather chaotic. So being rather calm and relaxed helps me no end when things don’t always go to plan. If I were a little uptight the ceremonies simply wouldn’t work.
Renewal of Vows
A renewal of vows ceremony is amazing to do. There is so much history that my couples have experienced that their story is a joy to write. They know each other so well and being a part of that is an honour.
I work with my couple to create a ceremony which really reflects them. I will re-write the script as many times as needed until my clients are happy and I am always available to discuss the ceremony, every step of the way.

Funerals
I am a trained funeral celebrant and generally work with funeral directors. However, I also work independently should a client require just my services alone. I like working this way because it allows me to meet many different clients in different settings.
I meet with the client and discuss the service with them and find out about their loved one. I will write the story of the departed into the ceremony creating a service for my client and their guests. I offer full support to my clients through a very difficult time.

I am extremely compassionate and will always be available for my clients throughout the funeral process. I am always available to discuss the ceremony and just be there if my client simply wants to talk about their loved one.

Naming ceremony
Emma was absolutely amazing at our recent naming ceremony for our daughter Harriet. She listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to make sure we got what we asked for. Everyone commented on how personal the service was and what an amazing day we had. Nothing was too much trouble for Emma. Highly recommend.
Gender affirming ceremony
I was so pleased that I found Emma. I had been trying to find someone that would be able to provide a ceremony which celebrated the person I had become. I wanted to share with my friends and family the joy I have found in my new life and an affirmation ceremony was a perfect way of doing this. Emma you are a joy to work with and so understanding to what I wanted.
Funeral memorial ceremony
Emma was delightful when sorting out the ceremony for my dear friend Rosie. She was ready to listen and managed to build a great tribute from my ramblings! A calm and reassuring presence throughout the whole process, which helped me a great deal at the time.
