Hi, I'm Thérèse
My passion for life has been enriched by a journey from the West of Ireland to the East of England, nurtured by a large extended family and the many ceremonies that entails.
I have a love of colour – especially purple – old houses, new beginnings and taking chances.
My career has been global and varied and I have been involved in the creations of many different types of New Beginnings, “hellos” and “goodbyes”.
By listening carefully, to the story and asking the right questions we can achieve something special together.
What's my ceremony style?
My style is colourful and contemporary and I have been told fun!
I genuinely like people and believe all ceremonies should be personal and reflect the people involved – some will be extremely happy & joyous and others will be more reflective but I will try to keep the focus on the positive and we can customise every aspect of the ceremony to your heart’s content – from the choice of music, to the location, whether it is indoors or outdoors, the seating arrangements and particularly the words that are used so they are fitting for the occasion.
It will be a privilege to join you on your journey.

My favourite moment is looking at the couple as they see each other for the first time on their special day. The wait is over and the ceremony has only just begun – I am close; so I hear the intake of breath, see the tiny teardrop about to fall, the hands shaking ever so slightly and they way my couple steal a glance….. its such a privilege to be standing with them in those moments.

Weddings
My ideal couple is those who really need help! Planning a wedding is a big deal and you want to feel sure and confident that the ceremony will perfectly reflect YOU!
My favourite ceremony type is where the couple are willing to share all the pieces of their love story which makes the writing really personal. The ceremony can be a simple exchange of vows or have an ambitious ritual, or a choreographed entrance or exit and creative thinking is needed to pull it off!

I will help you create your ceremony – your way! Storytelling is such an important part of how you arrived at your wedding day! Weaving in those special moments – and maybe some of the bumps in the road that have made you stronger as a couple – will unite you and bring your guests along with you.

Let’s get to know each other a little so I can discover what will work for you. I will craft a ceremony that is fitting to you as a couple now – a lot depends on why you have decided to renew you vows and who you want to be involved! It could just be the two of you or you might be inviting everyone you know!

Funerals
My job is to ensure that your loved one is properly remembered and gets a fitting send-off. Together we will create a ceremony that truly reflects their life and what made them the person they were – whether they had a long life or were with you for just a few moments.
I am often recommended by local Funeral Directors in Cambridgeshire. and Suffolk but will travel further afield on request.
My packages fall into three categories:
Celebration of a Life – I can help you create a ceremony that is not bound by convention, but is completely personalised to better reflect the life of the deceased and the wishes of the family and friends. The Service is generally cantered on the joy the departed person’s brought to others.
Memorial Services – I help the family and/or friends of the person who has died to arrange a fitting and comforting event to commemorate their life. My aim is to help you unite fellow mourners in supporting each other’s loss.
Funeral Planning – It is not unusual to want to put your affairs in order. I help you design your own service. Many do this is to take the stress away from someone else, and it also gives you an opportunity to discuss your last wishes with those you love while you are still around.

Always went the extra mile
Therese helped us with every detail of our wedding ceremony and was there for us from start to end. As many of mine and my wife’s family live abroad we did not have many people to help set up our ceremony on hand. Therese helped us plan and think through everything with great attention to detail. Our ceremony was a great success and went smoothly and it would have been nowhere without her leadership. We will always be thankful to you Therese!
