Hi, I'm Cat
Hi, I am Cat of Cat Hopkins Celebrant. I am a fun, colourful, Independent Celebrant and Master of Ceremonies (MC). I create bespoke and unique ceremonies for the joyful moments in life. I lovingly write the ceremony script and officiate the ceremony on the day of the event too.
I am also available to MC your reception making sure it all runs smoothly. I make the requested announcements and facilitate any games you may want to involve allowing you to fully enjoy your day knowing that it’s in safe hands.
I take time to get to know my clients so that I can create a ceremony that is truly meaningful and special.
I am available for Weddings, Vow Renewals and Naming Ceremonies.

What's my ceremony style?
I am super excited to be able to celebrate love, unity and family. I enjoy wearing bright clothes and have colourful hair to match. I just want to see people happy and enjoying themselves on their special day. Why choose Cat?
I will take the time to get to know you and weave your stories and personality into the ceremony. As an Independent Celebrant you can have it as traditional or whacky as you like. You may want readings, symbolic elements and rituals or a movie theme and a sing-along. Anything goes and I’m here to listen to your beautiful and creative ideas.

Weddings
The ideal couples or polyamorous pods for me are simply people who wish to have a fun celebration of their love. People who are happy to tell me their stories and give me insight into their relationships and how they got to where they are today, so that I can create meaningful, beautiful ceremonies filled with smiles and warmth.
An initial consultation with me either in person or on Zoom/phone. A questionnaire and meeting with me, so I can get to know you further. A professional, bespoke, personalised ceremony script written especially for you. This will include your beautiful love story. I will liaise with you on this and make sure you are truly happy with it for your big day. Inclusion of any religious, symbolic or ritual elements in your ceremony. Communication to liaise about ceremony details. Rehearsal ceremony if requested. I’ll officiate your ceremony and do my utmost to put you at ease. A custom-made Wedding Certificate for you to commemorate your special day.

Naming Ceremonies
As an Independent Celebrant I focus on the joyful moments in people’s lives be it Naming Ceremonies, Weddings or Vow Renewals.
Naming Ceremonies come in many different shapes and sizes and can be used to celebrate many different occasions in people’s lives. I am available for any and all celebrations including (but not limited to) Baby Naming, Re-Naming, Adoption Ceremonies, Blended Family Celebrations, Transgender Celebrations and Coming Out Celebrations.

Perfect Day!
Just over 2 weeks before our planned wedding (2nd May) and ceremony at Portsmouth Comic Con (4th May) we found ourselves in need of a celebrant. An online search found several in the Portsmouth area and Cat with her beaming smile and brightly coloured hair caught my eye. Further investigation showed excellent reviews. She responded to my email very quickly and confirmed that she indeed would be able to perform our Comic Con ceremony. An initial hour and a half phone call with us both, several emails back and forth and a little bit of tweaking here and there, ensured we had a ceremony that fitted us like a glove. Cat is such a lovely lady. She made Marc and myself feel so comfortable and confident about choosing her for our special day from our first contact. We invited her to our wedding ceremony on the 2nd May and by the time she left us following the 4th May ceremony, it felt like we had known her for a lot longer than a few weeks. The ceremony was amazing. Cat held everyones attention throughout. It was the perfect mix of intimacy and humour, very heartfelt and emotional but also plenty of geekiness and lots of laughs. It was a perfectly, wonderful day and that was hugely down to Cats expertise, professionalism and sweet nature. We both feel like we have a new friend to catch up with whenever we visit Portsmouth. Orchestrated the perfect day
Cat conducted the most beautiful and perfect ceremony for our wedding. Cat takes the time to really get to know you and shows genuine care to make sure you have a perfect day. I cannot recommmend Cat highly enough.

An amazing ceremony
Cat was absolutely amazing. From initial contact she really took the time to listen to what we wanted and how we wanted to do things. Nothing was too much trouble and she offered to meet up anytime we wanted to discuss things. She made numerous changes for us when we couldn’t make our minds up and steered us in the right direction when we wanted help!!! She even offered to dye her hair to match the wedding colours!!!!
The ribbons she made for our handfasting were absolutely stunning as was the ceremony itself. The script she wrote for the actual ceremony was both funny and poignant and we couldn’t have asked for more.
I can’t recommend Cat enough for anyone looking for a celebrant that will bend over backwards to make the day special and individual for any couple.
