I create and deliver a range of ceremonies, from wedding and partnership ceremonies to vow renewals, naming ceremonies and also funeral and memorial services. I love the versatility that celebrant ceremonies offer my customers and also love the creative element of my role and the ability to work collaboratively with my customers.
My celebrant business is based in Colchester and I work mainly in Essex and the surrounding areas although I’m happy to travel further if needed.
I trained with the International College of Independent Celebrants based here in the UK. I have strong public speaking skills and before becoming a celebrant I was a registered nurse and then a secondary school teacher where I mainly worked in a sixth form college.

I love helping people to experience something special and memorable and building in moments that are unique to a couple, family or moments in memory of a loved one. I’ll create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all those attending and guide those celebrating a wedding, renewing vows, holding a naming ceremony or those mourning a relative or friend through each unique ceremony. You will feel in very safe hands through the whole experience.

My ideal couple would be any couple who are looking to really enjoy their day and put themselves as a couple and their love at the heart of their wedding choices. There’s nothing more wonderful that seeing a couple being able to really enjoy that celebratory moment of making promises to each other and showing their love to all their guests in their chosen way and being able to immerse themselves in that moment.
My favourite ceremony type is one where the couple have all they need so they can just go ahead and enjoy the unique, fun and loving moments of their day.

I offer a single package price of £500 and this includes:
All phone calls / emails / virtual meetings. Face to face meetings + Travel costs within 30 miles
Draft of the ceremony for your approval and any changes made.
Rehearsal (if you would like one / this is possible for you)
Delivery of the ceremony on the day and sole booking for the day of your wedding/partnership
One ritual included in addition to vows and ring exchange. The equipment will be at an additional charge or you are free to purchase that equipment yourselves eg: ribbons, rose vases etc. Much of this equipment is available to buy on-line. I craft and deliver funeral and memorial service in Essex and the surrounding areas. I can deliver your ceremony in a cemetery chapel, a crematorium or the place of burial. I also create ceremonies for ash burial or scattering occasions. I work with families to celebrate the unique and special life of their loved one.

For funerals and memorials, ash scattering or burial I offer an inclusive package for £220 that includes
• An Initial phone call
• Face to face meeting
• Liaison with the Funeral Director and place of ceremony as required
• Any subsequent phone calls or emails to confirm you are happy with the script for the ceremony
• Travel costs within a thirty-mile radius
• Delivery of the ceremony
• Commemorative presentation script (if you would like one)
If I conducted the funeral ceremony for the deceased then any future ash scattering or burial is complimentary.

I will work to create an individual ceremony that includes everything that my clients would in order to reflect the unique life of their family or friend. I’ll share the script of the ceremony with them prior to the ceremony to make sure they are completely happy with it. I’m calm, organised and punctual in my dealings with clients and they can be assured of a completely professional service. As part of my role as celebrant I will write and deliver a eulogy that shares those special memories of your relative or friend and reflects the essence of their individual life. However, sometimes a family member or friend wishes to undertake the eulogy; whether that is writing it, delivering it, or both. We can of course have that in place; and I’m there to help in any way that I can. I also help with choosing poems, readings and music if that is what you would like.
