Hi, I'm Claire
As an independent celebrant I specialise in all celebrations of life and can assist in creating a truly memorable and personalised ceremony for any life event you wish to commemorate.
I have experience of public events and in public speaking having worked for a major charity promoting their ethos and brand. This provided me with the skill set of understanding what tone to set to each occasion and the remit expected from those involved.
I am also a trained mediator, which may prove advantageous to you when planning your ceremony and juggling the needs and wants of others! I am empathetic and able to offer support and guidance at stressful, emotional and sensitive times.
A passion of mine is interior design. This enables me to ‘think outside the box’ in terms of creativity and ideas and bring to the forefront a truly unique and bespoke piece of work.

What's my ceremony style?
I am open minded, committed, and conscientious with a great eye for detail and the ability to read a room.
I am calm in a crisis and enjoy meeting new people and learning more about them.
I can assist in all areas of ceremony planning and together we can compile a truly unique (certainly not a one size fits all) ceremony that will be remembered by all those in attendance.
Many people are now reconnecting with and commemorating many significant and different life events.
The pandemic has highlighted to us all the importance of reconnecting with one another and recognising and celebrating all that life means to us as individuals.

Whether you want a modern twist on a traditional ceremony or a total reinvention (or anything in-between) with me as your celebrant, there are no limitations or rules.! (well there may be a few but lets not that put a damper on proceedings!)
Together we would discuss your requirements for the feel, the style and the duration of your ceremony. Working with you, or alongside your wedding planner we will create the ceremony you desire.

I know we were out of our depth with regard to the timings and order of service but with your help, support, sensitivity and gentle encouragement we got there.

Dear Claire
Thank you for all your help and support in arranging my father’s funeral.
I thought everything went well and your sensitive conducting of the service was just right. It was also helpful getting your advice in advance of the day itself. There are always so many choices that having an experienced hand to guide us was really helpful.
In particular having someone to run things past gave my sister the confidence to go ahead with her eulogy which was great.
