Hi, I’m Joanne, a qualified and experienced Wedding Celebrant based on the beautiful Costa del Sol. I love working with couples to create ceremonies that are meaningful, joyful, romantic, and a true reflection of who they are. Originally from just outside London, I’ve lived in Spain for over 35 years. I met my husband during my first year here, and we’ve since raised our wonderful daughter—now living in London and pursuing her own career.
My journey to becoming a celebrant has been shaped by a colourful and varied career, including wedding planning, running restaurants, and performing professionally as a singer. Each experience has helped me understand how to bring warmth, creativity, and personality into every ceremony I write.
Crafting a wedding that feels just right for each couple is what I do best, and I’d be honoured to help make your special day truly unforgettable.

As a wedding celebrant, I listen carefully to my couples and craft ceremonies that feel truly them. I suggest poems, readings, and meaningful rituals that bring depth and beauty to their ceremony. I’m easy to talk to and create a relaxed, inclusive space where every couple feels celebrated—because love is love. I specialise in ceremonies that are romantic and real, filled with moments that have everyone laughing one minute and wiping away tears the next. I work closely with families to craft and lead meaningful and uplifting Celebration of Life, Memorials and Funeral services that honour and reflect the life of their loved one. These services celebrate their legacy and capture the essence of who they were. I also welcome contributions from family and friends through speeches – poems – readings – music – photographs and any other ideas the family may want to incorporate into the service, to ensure that it is truly personal.
The beauty of a celebrant-led service lies in its flexibility. The service can include religious elements and prayers or not. Every service I conduct is with the utmost respect for various beliefs, genders, cultures, and lifestyles. It can follow a traditional format or take a completely unique approach, tailored to reflect the life and values of the loved one being honored and celebrated.

Celebration Of Life
Dear Joanne,
I’m back in the UK now and just wanted to say a very big ‘Thank you’ on behalf on myself, my three brothers and, of course, all ten grandchildren. I cannot emphasise how special you made the day for us. Your words, and how you expressed them, made a huge difference to what could have been a very sombre and depressing day. Thanks to you, it almost felt like a celebration of our parents’ love and the fact that they are finally reunited. Just what we wanted really. You are graceful and dignified and that shone through on the day.
