Hi, I'm Your Celebrants in Italy
We are bilingual English-Italian and German-Italian celebrants and we help couples and families in Italy craft unique, personalised ceremonies because we are passionate about celebrating life and love, in all its forms. We feel truly privileged and honoured to help people in joy or in grief. Our team of professional, trained celebrants will help you create a ceremony that is meaningful, memorable and uniquely yours every step of the way. By creating a close connection with you, we will help you work your tastes, values and desired rituals into a ceremony that will resonate with you and your guests.
What's my ceremony style?
Our combined backgrounds in music, performance, script writing, literature, history of art, languages, tourism, teaching and translation gives us the tools and the skills to incorporate elements of your culture and personal history, and to involve your family and guests, when we celebrate your day, your way, in English, Italian, or both.

Why choose Your Celebrants in Italy?
You can trust Passaggi celebrants to be warm, upbeat and professional in every aspect of our dealings with you, from our first contact through to the moment we have the honour and privilege of officiating your unique ceremony. Coming from the UK, Australia and Italy, our team has a combination of experience, vision, love of Italian culture in every aspect, and a positive go-get-it attitude that will accompany you all the way, and help your recognise that the sky’s the limit as far as your ceremony journey is concerned.
What do I offer?

Weddings
Our ideal couple — gay or straight — is fun-loving, upbeat, open to laughs and tears, sincere, down to earth, and really cares about involving friends and family in their ceremony. They are willing to explore their inner-heart beat and trust in feelings more than appearances, and love the idea of innovating and creating their own rituals. We love blending elements from different cultures and backgrounds, and if you are an Italian marrying someone from an English-speaking culture, we can create a bilingual ceremony that catches the quirks and comic moments of both cultures as we ourselves are also caught between the two. We love couples who love everything about Italy, the food and wine, and the landscapes. We love encouraging people to go beyond their boundaries.
We believe in listening to you, to what you want, to what you don’t even know you want, and slowly, by building up trust and communication, delving deeper into what makes you tick as a couple, or as a family: your inner heart-beat. We then love the challenge of collaboratively crafting a ceremony that reflects that inner heart-beat — what makes YOU unique —and making that the focus of the entire ceremony. We don’t have packages because every ceremony is unique and written with only you in mind.

Why choose Your Celebrants in Italy for your wedding?
Our greatest satisfaction is when your ceremony is in every way the amazing day you had always imagined but you don’t feel for a second the effort that has gone into it because every detail has been thought about, prepared, and perfectly executed. You can laugh and cry and be totally absorbed in the beautiful words of the ceremony and the deep inner significance of the rituals you are performing because we are there with you, holding you, but letting you shine.

Funerals
In italy, non-religious or non-traditional funerals, ash scatterings and commemorations are not very well known, but slowly, thanks to the outreach Passaggi and the our celebrant association FederCelebranti has been able to spread the word. When people come to one of our ceremonies, they are always amazed. They come up to us and say it’s the best funeral they’ve ever been to. The greatest satisfaction is when they ask us how long we’ve known the person whose life we have just celebrated. Many of our clients are the ex-pat community in Rome, from the many international organisations and news agencies there, but more and more Italians are now able to find us in their time of need. We have recently been exploring outdoor ceremonies owing to Covid and have found a few beautiful venues around Rome where we’ve been able to offer families a moving, meaningful celebration of life.
Every ceremony is unique and written for and with you, the family. We makes sure to have a family visit, or Zoom session, to glean as many details and anecdotes about the deceased’s life, tastes, and values, reflecting in their Life Story their unique vision of life and sense of humour. Our clients find us on the Internet, as FD’s here are mostly unaware of alternatives to a traditional church funeral. With our association FederCelebranti we have trained Italian celebrants who are now practising around the country, making it easier for families to be able to find someone to lead a celebration of life for them close by. Funerals are generally held after 24-48 hours a, making it even more important that families can be helped by trained professional celebrants in their moment of need.

Why choose Your Celebrants in Italy for your funeral?
We are uniquely placed with our experience and background in the UK and Australia to help you choose music and readings you love, express feelings, laugh, show your love (or anger). In the family visit, we discuss your options for a celebration of life, ash scattering, or commemoration. We write a script melding your ideas into a unique tribute to your loved one. Our warm, professional, calm and caring presence on the day, sustaining you in your grief, completes our service. It is the hugest honour to provide the support that is so needed.

Celebrant Review re: Giulia
Giulia was the officiant for our elopement this year and we couldn’t have been happier with her services!
She was communicative, helpful, and the ceremony she wrote for us was beautiful and felt perfect for us. She was professional, personable, and we were honored to have her services on our special day.
We would highly recommend Giulia for your wedding ceremony.
Amazing! 5 stars! Highly recommend!
We couldn’t recommend our celebrant Sarah enough. She was absolutely amazing! The ceremony was so nice, multiple people have commented on how much they enjoyed it, especially how personal it was made to us. We really appreciate all the effort she put in to make it perfect for us. Sarah really did an excellent job and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out on the day.
We recommend Giulia!
We highly recommend Giulia as an officiant! She was so easy to work with and very responsive, which was important to us as we were planning a wedding from thousands of miles away. Giulia was very understanding and accommodating. Additionally, on the day of our wedding, she went above and beyond and asked for construction workers outside our ceremony to stop working so we could have a peaceful ceremony. Overall, our ceremony went smoothly entirely because of her. We could not recommend Giulia enough!
