Hi there, my name is Carmel. I am a legal Solemnizer & Celtic Celebrant, living in the midlands of Ireland.
I am a holistic therapist, life coach, Celtic singer and harpist.
I have been singing for weddings and funerals for over 30 years, so I am very familiar with blessings, religious, secular celebrations. I love everything about ceremonies, there is nothing better than seeing two beautiful hearts connect in the precious ceremony of marriage.
I love to incorporate some of the old Celtic traditions into ceremonies, like water or fire rituals, hand fasting or tree planting, just to name a few. But the key ingredient is YOU!!!, I love to work with you the couple, we start with a clean canvas, together we design and create a meaningful ceremony that you and your guests will love. and cherish.
What's my ceremony style?
I am a very relaxed and easy going person, the one thing I pride myself on, is connection with my clients. Whether that be at my Owl Cabin for my holistic business, or my Wedding, Renewals, or Baby naming clients.
I love to get to know YOU, what makes you tick, what makes you smile, what makes you happy?
My coaching comes into play here, by asking you questions that help you think outside the box, heck No!!! thinking that there is no box !!!
Fun and lightness are important during the time I spend getting to know my clients, after all why should this be a stressful time? It can be a beautiful journey of self discovery, while you decide what your dream day will look like. I believe that every moment of the planning should be blissful. Life is too short for stress!!!

Being involved in the wedding music industry for over 30 years, I have seen it all and it has helped me fine tune my own style, which is, focusing on YOU, the couple. I make a promise that I will do everything within my power to help & guide you to celebrate your special day in a dignified and caring way. I make this promise, because I love what I do, and I feel very humbled and honored to play a part in celebrating with you, whether it be your wedding, baby naming, or life event.
What do I offer?
Weddings
I am happy to work with all couples, I love to get to know you and your love story. I also love working with my LGBTQ+ couples, Love is Love in my eyes, it is always my pleasure to connect two hearts together in marriage and unity.
I am a Shamanic Practitioner, and if the couples so choose I can bring in some of my Shamanic rituals, which include, the Earth, Wind, Fire and Water, these rituals can make your occasion very special indeed.
I also offer a beautiful Cacao Ceremony, an opening of hearts, a ritual of letting go of the old and welcoming the new.
I offer my wedding clients, a beautiful, carefully designed ceremony, that is special and personal to them. I include all rituals of their choice. I meet up with you both at your desired venue to practice and rehearse before your big day, also we can do zoom meetings if outside the country. I gift you a beautiful Wedding Certificate on the day as a keepsake. I supply the sound equipment if needed for any music played at no extra charge.

The first thing I do when I meet you as a couple, is to get you to relax and breathe! I’m a firm believer in keeping calm, as it helps with clarity of mind.
I am a great listener and I love to hear your love story, so that I can intertwine it throughout your ceremony.
I love to help you choose readings and poems that relate to you, plus I can help with your choice of music, or I can give you lots of direction when looking for suppliers.
I love to get to know you on a personal level, as it helps me to create something beautiful for your occasion.
My mission is to bring meaning to your connection of love, you are after all creating beautiful memories, that you can cherish for years to come.
Naming Ceremonies
There is nothing more precious, than when a child is born, it brings such light and happiness into a family. Then comes the day you name your child. How do you choose? You might name your child after your parents or grandparents, or you might choose a name that has great meaning to you.
Whatever name you choose, it’s so lovely to celebrate this occasion with family and friends. To welcome this precious child into the world and to christen them with their name for life. This is such a special day, as this child gets to have two or more people that take on a role of supporting and guiding them through life, that is of course their God parents.,
I love this quote, “It takes a village to raise a child”
I love to meet up with the parents to get to know them, also to get to know what they would love for this special day. I can give helpful hints and tips, but it will be their day for their child, so anything I can do to enhance it will be a bonus.
Baby naming ceremonies can be done at a venue of your choice, the majority that I have afficiated have been at the Child’s home place, but no matter where the venue, the most important ingredient on the day is LOVE! surrounded by all the special people in this child life.

My style is very relaxed and easy going. I am always conscious that children can get tired or make strange on the day, so I like to make sure that the parents are nice and relaxed, as children can pick up on stresses. It’s important to be flexible, to help you enjoy this celebration with a bit of fun and lightness. So I like to go with the flow and be adaptable on the day.
It’s your Child’s first BIG day, so lets make it a special one.
Renewal of Vows
This is why I love what I do!! I just love to celebrate, especially vow renewals. What an honor this day is, when two people commit their love all over again. It can be a special anniversary, or it can be a meaningful time in your life. Whatever your reason, it is a beautiful occasion to say ” I DO” all over again. Your commitment is beautiful, it deserves a celebration with meaning and love.
Your Vow Renewals can be celebrated anywhere. I love to travel, so if you need any suggestions, I’m only too happy to help you. There are some beautiful Celtic sites in Ireland, from Castle ruins to The Cliffs of Moher, The Wild Atlantic Way or some place that has great meaning to you.
The sky’s the limit when choosing a place, but the most important on the day will be YOU, your commitment to loving each other and seeing your love grow stronger.

Why choose me? Everything I do in life is always centered around passion and love!! I love to get to know you, your love story, how you met, what you love about each other, but I also love to remind you that we are like mirrors, we reflect love, we radiate love, and the most important element, is love of self. As Lousie LHay said ” How can we expect anyone else to love us, if we don’t love ourselves” I love to remind my clients of this, as it makes such a difference as we go through life,

Vow Renewal
Pat and I decided to renew our vows for our 20th wedding anniversary. We asked Carmel to be our celebrant as we love her kind caring nature, plus she has an element of fun too.
She made our day so special, as she helped us choose soe lovely poems and readings for our family to read, plus she helped us with our vows.
We had the pleasure of her singing and playing the harp also.
Our day was so special as we now had our kids there and all the special; people in our lives.
Carmel got everyone involved with a lovely ring warming ceremony, this is where our rings were passed
around for all our family and friends to hold and send well wishes to us.
I would highly recommend Carmel as she has a lovely calming Irish charm about her. All our guests said they loved our ceremony as it felt so meaningful. We think this is all thanks to Carmel.
