Hi, I'm Elizabeth
Your celebration or your ceremony is all about you, but I am happy to share details about myself so you can get a feel for me as a celebrant.. As well as being a family celebrant, trained and certified by the United Kingdom Society of Celebrants,I am also a public speaker, speaking on health subjects and some LGBTQ topics. If my friends were to use five words to describe me, they would most probably be Quirky, Creative, Caring, Compassionate and a ‘Do-er’ I have a passion for life and feel that when we celebrate our important milestones, it is so very important to celebrate in a way that reflects us as individuals. And that’s my job, to create and deliver a ceremony that tells your unique story, a story that has brought you to the place you are at now. I was delighted to be shortlisted in no less than 3 categories of the TCIA 2021 awards.
What's my ceremony style?
If you are looking for a performer who will entertain your guests, dress up and take centre stage, I have the names of some amazing celebrants who will be suitable for you. But the ceremonies I lead are all about the couple. I have an eye for detail, I am creative, and am very much a believer in everyone having their special moment. When I tell your story, it remains all about you, I showcase you as a couple. If you are shy, have a disability, or any other aspect that makes you ‘you’, that you feel might hinder your day, we will talk it through and come up with a solution. There is no normal wedding, you can create your own traditions and I am here to help show you how. As a nurse, hypnotherapist, and life coach, I am a people person, and I have a lot of skills to bring to the table.

My ideal couple is down-to-earth and fun-loving. A couple who wants to keep the ceremony at the heart of their wedding.
I love the garden and outdoor ceremonies, I simply love it when couples take a blank canvas and make it their own, and what better blank canvas than the beauty of nature, a park, garden, or barn.
I also take ceremonies in hotels, woodland in fact anywhere your are drawn to, to celebrate your wedding day.
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, As an experienced full-time Celebrant who is approachable and friendly, I am passionate about creating beautiful, unique, and sometimes quirky ceremonies that bring your dreams to life. I believe in transparency and my fees are clearly shown on my website. My fees are low, as I believe couples wish to build their ceremony in their way, therefore I do not charge for unity ceremonies within my main fees, as not all of my couples want them. If you choose to book me, you can then make additions to your ceremony at your discretion with all costs clearly laid out.

Naming Ceremonies
Naming Ceremonies- Are not just for brand new babies. Parents will often use baby naming services to introduce a child into a newly blended family (stepchildren). It is also a charming way to introduce adopted and long-term foster children into a family. And of course, for those who are not religious but want a christening like service to introduce their new child to the world, these celebrations are perfect.
Like all other ceremonies, Naming Ceremonies can take place anywhere, a garden, the park, community hall, hotel, or anywhere else that you desire. Families often choose their garden for this special event. You can have some religious content if you like, one doesn’t need a church to say a prayer, I am very comfortable in leading prayer, or can ask a friend or family member to do this. We can add in unity ceremonies or create a ceremony that you might have thought about. It’s a wonderful start to the life of a person who is joining a family and a wonderful way to help your family and friends to feel part of your child’s life.

Renewal of Vows
I tend to find my couples are fun-loving, down-to-earth couples who don’t take themselves too seriously. Whatever your reason for renewing your vows, your day needs to be perfect! I always get terribly excited talking to couples about their vow renewal. Couples have so many more stories, and more history for me to work with when I am creating your ceremony.
Your ceremony can take place anywhere at any time. As long as you have permission to use the venue, we can create the most memorable and beautiful ceremony for you.
With a vow renewal,
you can have exactly the same elements as a wedding, or change it up totally!
Some of the reasons people decide to renew vows are:
~ a milestone anniversary
~ following a period of ill health
~ following a wobble in the marriage
~ Or maybe you didn’t get the wedding of your dreams the first time and are now in a position to afford the bells and whistles you missed out on!

The most special day
Elizabeth gave us the most special day with my grandmother on the 11th of March.
I have dreamed of my wedding day for years but never in a million years did I think I’d be saying my vows by the side of my nan’s hospital bed.
I was extremely close to my nan growing up and she basically bought me up. Finding out my nan was terminally Ill at the end of February was heartbreaking. So I decided last minute that I’d get married by the side of my nan’s bed so that she could see me in her wedding dress. I decided on the Wednesday evening that Id do it and spoke to Elizabeth and she agreed to come to the hospital on such short notice.
Elizabeth was so professional throughout and I cannot thank her enough because without her I wouldn’t have been able to share my special day with my Nan before she passed away on Sunday the 27th of March.

I worked with Elizabeth on a recent wedding at Canada Lake and Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed the day. The ceremony was beautifully led by Elizabeth, she had clearly spent a lot of time with the couple personalising it and making it extra special for them telling a story. The ceremony flowed smoothly, it felt romantic but still fun too, and it was a pleasure to work alongside such a lovely, professional lady on the day. What a discovery
“Having never experienced a celebrant before, we went on a bit of a journey in discovering the art of the possible. The cold, repetitive, last-minute meet, tick box exercise done with the council didn’t sit well with us and we wanted something more. Something with heart, feeling, and more of us.
We didn’t know it when we came across “celebrants” as a concept, but we began to realise we’d found what we’d been searching for.
Elizabeth puts her heart and thoughts into everything she does and made our day unforgettable. She was professional throughout and at the same time, easy to be with and have a laugh with. We only met Elizabeth once, during the pandemic, via video call, and immediately connected and we knew she was the perfect match for us as a couple.
She was detail orientated throughout and totally focused on us as a couple. Asking how we felt at various times before and during the day, being so attentive, considerate, and caring. She was an incredible addition to the day and felt like one of the guests we’d known for the longest time. Nothing was too much, and we were always seeing what extra fun/comments we could add to give the day an extra special touch.
Leading up to the day, she helped us both in different ways. With vows, with nerves, with excitement and with the joy of anticipation with a beautiful poem the day before the wedding.
On the day we were provided with our pre-printed and bound wedding vows with Elizabeth having her own ceremony folder to read from. After the day we were given the whole lot as a keepsake.
It shouldn’t need mentioning, but despite, this has to be said; Elizabeth treated us as a same sex couple with such dignity, heart and respect that she really made us both feel so excited for the day. We effectively wrote our own rule book, on how the ceremony should be and it felt so unique, reflective of who we were as a couple and welcoming for all our guests. She drew them into our little love story and Elizabeth is easily one of the important parts of the day that made it truly special.
We fully appreciate that the choice of a celebrant is a very personal decision – but would recommend it to anyone and importantly recommend Elizabeth as someone you can trust.
