Oh hi! I’m Emily!
I’m a progressive wedding celebrant, & I’m dedicated to helping lovers create their perfect ceremony.
I’m defo not another brick in the wall!
I love meeting new people, getting to know all about them and then crafting, creating & conducting unique ceremonies which are authentic, fun filled, and which represent you & your vibe perfectly.
While I have a relaxed ceremony style infused with humour and sentiment, I understand the importance of ‘ceremony’, I believe a meaningful ceremony happens when everyone present is engaged, this happens by creating a ceremony which represents you. I’m a Yorkshire Lass based in Merseyside, but willing to travel.

What's my ceremony style?
I have a fluid approach to style – I’m adaptable and will try my very best to create a ceremony which not only represents you and hums with your vibe, but that makes you feel comfortable and ‘at home’. I’m endlessly curious ( maybe professionally nosey?), very enthusiastic and game for (almost) anything.
I’m NOT boring, traditional or beige.
I’m as at home in a boss city centre venue as I am up a mountain or in a dive bar, I’m a rock climbing, dog obsessed, cold water swimming loving, hot beverage enthusiast.
I love alternative / adventurous weddings. I love meeting loads of different people, finding out all about them and creating a ceremony script which sparks joy. And I LOVE ceremonies which include a dog.

I see the joy in ‘the little things’. I’m open minded and ever curious. I am intentionally inclusive and I’m working on my anti-racist journey.
With a background in critical care & palliative nursing I am calm and ‘unflappable’, I have advanced communication & listening skills training & completed my training with Humanists UK – meaning I have undertaken robust training and peer reviews.
What do I offer?
Weddings
Walk my way if you’re after something a bit different, open to fun and gentle humour and if you want a truly personal ceremony free from the ‘shoulds’.
I believe your wedding or civil partnership should represent YOU, by choosing a celebrant led wedding/ civil partnership you can trust that I will create a ceremony that hums with your vibe.
Your ceremony can, of course, follow a traditional format, or you can rip up the rule book – but by creating your ceremony script 100% just for you, you can trust that whatever format you go for your ceremony will be meaningful & memorable!
My wedding package includes; an initial no-obligation meeting to say hi and check we click (on zoom or in person); a ‘welcome pack’ full of hints & ideas to get the ideas flowing; planning meetings (ideally in person but can be online); support (if needed) with selecting rituals, readings and music; writing your totally personal script; any required revisions to the script; and delivering your amazing ceremony! I always arrive to your venue at least one hour early to say hello, greet guests and generally be helpful.

Unfortunately Emily the celebrant is not available for Naming Ceremonies.
Renewal of Vows
If you’re looking to ‘reaffirm’ your vows, ‘renew’ your vows, maybe a big life event has created the space in which you want to celebrate your relationship all over again. I. Am. Game.
Reflecting back over your relationship and lives together, how things have changed, what you’ve achieved…..makes for beautiful content for a ceremony.
Maybe you want a small celebration – just the two of you? A family gathering? Or a full blown ceremony. Whatever if right for you I am here to help.

With a background in critical care & palliative nursing I am calm and ‘unflappable’, I have advanced communication & listening skills training & completed my training with Humanists UK meaning I have undertaken robust training and I continue to update my CPD with a focus on anti-racism. I also have full public and personal liability insurance.

What can we say about Emily?!
What can we say about Emily?! When we were planning our wedding and we read that your ceremony shouldn’t be just the admin part of your day but rather, should be one of the fun and meaningful moments, it struck us that this is something everyone should strive for – but how easy would that be to deliver? Then we found Emily and got stuck into the process. We had so much fun planning and producing the scripts for the ceremony with Emily – we met in Liverpool for a coffee (which turned into lunch and drinks given how much fun we were having), and really enjoyed talking about our relationship with her and doing our ‘homework’. When we received the first draft, we were so thrilled at how Emily had turned our stories into a funny, sweet and thoughtful telling of our relationship – it made us laugh out loud and cry a little bit too. On the day of the wedding, Emily was a lovely calm presence in the morning, chatted to our guests on their arrival, and then delivered the ultimate ceremony. Our photos show the full range of emotions from both us and our guests – even though we’d heard most of the script in advance (although it was a lovely touch having a secret section we only heard on the day) we were still genuinely cracking up and so were our guests. We had so many compliments afterwards from our guests on how unique it was, and how they thought everyone should use celebrants (particularly Emily!) going forward. We can’t thank you enough for creating such a wonderful ceremony that was perfect for us.

What can I say about Emily The Celebrant ? INCREDIBLE!!
Emily was just perfect from start to finish…. from our initial meet all the way through to the end of the ceremony it really was like having a friend by your side which completely relaxed what is a stressful thing to do.
Her creative spark was faultless… after meeting for coffee and outling what we wanted from her she took it all on board and delivered an exceptional script. Every single guest we invited said it was a refreshing change from the usual, & that it was the best cememony they’d ever been too. We all laughed & giggled all the way through, especially the parts were everybody got involved.
We can’t thank Emily enough for her part during the day, she made it so magical, both myself & wife Claire will always look forward to seeing her instagram posts making newlyweds look so happy & joyous & we can’t wait to meet up again for bit of lunch, & a chin wag when we get the photos through so we can reminisce the day.
