Hi, I'm Diane
Hello and welcome to my profile. I’m Diane, and I’m a qualified Couples, Naming & Funeral Celebrant based in Southampton, Hampshire. (I’m happy to travel to neighbouring counties though). I can provide Wedding Celebration ceremonies, Civil partnership ceremonies, Renewal of Vows, Commitment ceremonies, Naming ceremonies and I now also offer Funeral services, Memorial services, scattering of ashes and pre-need services. I love meeting all my families and couples and getting to know them, so that each ceremony is unique and really reflects them as a couple or as a family.
What's my ceremony style?
I offer Wedding Celebration Ceremonies, Civil Partnership Celebration Ceremonies, Commitment Ceremonies, Renewal of Vows, Naming Ceremonies and Funeral Services. I love ceremonies in different places. What about a wedding in a vineyard or woodland ? or a themed ceremony with me dressed up for the theme ? What do I offer?
Weddings
A personal Wedding Celebration at a time and place that suits you !!
Everyone loves a good wedding don’t they, me included !! I will work closely with you to help and advise and have a lot of fun along the way. I’m happy to officiate your traditional wedding celebration but equally as happy to embrace your ideas of a themed wedding, dressing up and entering into the spirit of the day.
On the day you ill receive a little memento from me and a keepsake script will be delivered soon after for you to keep with your memories of your special day.
Wedding and Civil Partnership Celebrations are a wonderful and unique way to celebrate your union. With all couples ceremonies I will visit you in the first instance and after lots of contact, I will construct a bespoke ceremony just for you. I can advise on readings, poems and music for your special day along with symbolic gestures to incorporate into your ceremony.

Naming Ceremonies
Welcome your new child, stepchild or adopted child into your world in front of family and friends
A Naming Ceremony, like all my couples ceremonies can take place where you want it at a time that suits you. It can even be held in your back garden!
It is an opportunity for you, and perhaps other children or grandparents, to make promises to your child in front of family and friends.
Supporting adults or Godparents are also appointed and make their own promises to the child.
A ceremony at a place and time to suit your needs. I will spend time with you all and write a unique and personal family ceremony to welcome your new child.

Renewal of Vows
Renewal of Vows are a wonderful way to say “I Do” once again in front of family and friends. As with all Couples ceremonies this will be a bespoke ceremony just for you and incorporating all the things you love.

Funerals
Many people still think of a Funeral as a sad occassion, a time to mourn and cry over a life lost. They don’t have to be like this though. They can be a time to remember all the good times and laugh at memories of the person.
As a celebrant I will work closely with the family and the funeral directors, to compose and deliver, a wonderful ‘Celebration of Life’ Service for the family and friends of the person who has died. Enabling them to re live their most precious memories and Honour that persons passing in a unique and personal way.
I will come and spend time with you as a family and gather all the relevant information to put a wonderful ceremony together. I can help advise on readings and poems and am happy to add religious elements into the service if required.
I also offer memorial services and internment/scattering of ashes ceremonies.
As well as cremation and burial services I also offer memorial services, Internment and scattering of ashes services and will help with any pre need arrangements. Families will receive a keepsake copy of the ceremony script after the day.

Wonderful Funeral Service Celebrant.
Diane conducted the most wonderful ceremony for our dear old departed Dad. I am so pleased that the undertaker recommended her. From her first phone call to me to the emotional goodbyes after the service, she managed to perfectly balance a high degree of professionalism and friendliness. I did wonder after our initial meeting with Diane how she’d be able to make sense of the information that we fired at her, particularly as a lot of it was rather random and out of chronological order. Then there were the additional pieces of information that we asked to be added at later dates. I need not have worried, she made good sense of it all and delivered it in a very eloquent and professional manner. She used just the right tone and injected a degree of humour at appropriate times without appearing flippant. She was very smartly and appropriately dressed for the part. Several people at the wake told me what an excellent job they thought the Celebrant had done. My Mum was equally impressed, telling me how kind and comforting Diane was both before and after the service. I would not hesitate in recommending Diane to anybody else.
Diane helped us create the wedding of our dreams
We are so grateful to have had Diane as the celebrant for our wedding this July. Diane is one of the kindest people we’ve ever met. She is a wonderful professional and she created a ceremony that surpassed all of our dreams and expectations. It was personal, emotional, and so tailored to us that it was nearly impossible not to cry the entire time.
During the entire planning process, Diane was always willing to zoom call or chat to check the finer details about our love story and to ensure she met our preferences in her speech. She also had wonderful suggestions for the entire ceremony such as for the ring bearers or the readings, and it honestly helped us so much. We fully trusted her, which helped us stay calm and just enjoy the ceremony to the fullest.

Festival wedding
Diane was the celebrant for our wedding in August 21. From the very start Diane was just brilliant, made us feel at ease. Answered all our questions and gave us some options to what we could have for our ceremony. Even matched our colour theme with her beautiful dress
