I’m Kate, an independent celebrant who specialises in creating authentic, fun, and truly memorable ceremonies that celebrate love.

What's my ceremony style?
My perfect wedding is intimate and relaxed, boho with a festival vibe and often in nature or with the outdoors brought in. All my ceremonies are unique, where you get to choose the music, songs and readings. A ceremony that only includes the elements you want – boho chic, romantic, whimsical, whacky or traditional- I will support you in making your dreams come true! You can choose to have your ceremony; where you want it; when you want it; with your words; your music- anything goes! In a tipi, overlooking the sea, or in your garden covered in fairy lights, count me in!

Weddings
A wedding ceremony should WOW and be made up of your own rules, it should set the vibe and get the party started! I love boho weddings- boho to me means freedom. Freedom to embrace the kind of ceremony you have always wanted, but didn’t dare to think was possible, a wedding at sunrise on a beautiful beach, midday in your gorgeous back garden, in your favourite restaurant, or under the stars and fairy lights in a wonderful woodland. I will take the time getting to know you and what makes you tick, together we will craft a ceremony that truly captures you, celebrates your love, and brings joy. I have been told my smile lights up a room, I will lead your ceremony with the perfect balance of laughter and meaning.
So, if you want a simple, relaxed, romantic ceremony or something a bit more unusual I can help. I love adding symbolic elements into ceremonies, such as handfasting, ring warming or sand ceremonies but am equally excited to try something new, like a cocktail ceremony!
Naming Ceremonies
Your naming or welcoming ceremony can be traditional, contemporary, formal, informal, serious, fun, whimsical, quirky as you like…..
A ‘Naming Ceremony’ is a beautiful way to celebrate the birth of a new baby. It is a unique celebration of family and life. The day can include whatever is significant to you as a family. I can include officially naming your baby or children and include wonderful declarations of promises and commitments from significant members of your family, friends and community.
A ‘Welcoming Ceremony’ gives you the wonderful opportunity to welcome an adopted child/ren or a partner’s children into becoming a blended family. All of these can be great milestones to mark and have a celebration.
Do you want to mark the arrival of a new family member, the blending of families or finalise an adoption? I will get to know you, as a family, and will put my heart and soul into writing you a uniquely personal ceremony that reflects your family and is fun and memorable, whilst recognising your new role as parents. I love hearing family I can include officially naming your baby or children and include wonderful declarations of promises and commitments from significant members of your family, friends and community. I have worked with children for 20 years as a Teacher and Deputy Headteacher and love to include them in the ceremony by adding a symbolic element, for example, planting a wishing tree or having a sand ceremony.

Renewal of Vows
Celebrating a milestone anniversary or maybe you didn’t have the day you wanted when you first got married, or maybe you want to celebrate with friends and family who were not present the first time? Together we can create a stunning ceremony that celebrates all your wonderful adventures together.
A vow renewal is the perfect way to say ‘I love you’ all over again. What a great opportunity to refresh your commitment and promises to each other – this time in a way that is unique and personal to you as a couple and your story.
I will create a warm, fun, personal, joyful ceremony that fully reflects your personalities, styles and cultures, including favourite memories, adventures, songs and/or readings.
My past life as restaurateur and in event management means that I know about coordination and organisation of events. I will welcome your guests as they arrive, and ensure that everyone involved knows what they are doing and when. You can relax, I will take care of everything!

I will take care of your memories and your journey together and retell it to the world through ceremony, so that your day is a day to remember just like the first time you said ‘I do’.
There are no rules to what happens on your day- it is up to you! Perhaps there is a special spot that is significant to you both, your garden, the beach, in a forest- You can walk down the aisle to your favourite song, or with your children/grandchildren/dog. You can involve your family and friends to share their stories. We can make it fun and frivolous or romantic and reflective. The possibilities are endless!
Funerals
There isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ approach to planning a ceremony, we are all different and therefore every funeral should be unique, to reflect the personality of the deceased. However you choose to mark the death of a loved one, it is part of your grieving process and it is very important. I understand how hard this time can be. Organising a funeral or memorial for a loved one is often one of the most challenging things we can do. I also firmly believe a good funeral or celebration of life ceremony can do YOU a lot of good too.
You may know exactly what you want or you may feel totally overwhelmed.
I will be there to support, guide and hold your hand as we navigate this together.
I will support you and your family to create a personal and unique ceremony. One that truly reflects your loved one and retells their life story with compassion but also with humour and laughter.
I will spend time learning about your loved one; what their favourite song was, interests, passions, sports teams and more and work with you with compassion and empathy to create a ceremony that really captures their essence and celebrates their life.
All of the choices are yours, and I will be there to support you throughout.

I will provide you with choices, flexibility, and a glimmer of light on a dark day To let you mourn but also to encourage you to see joy as you remember, pay tribute, reflect and delight in the life, stories and feelings of the person who has died. A funeral ceremony is part of the healing process and can be, formal, informal, semi-religious, non-religious, spiritual, modern, or include rituals such as a handfasting or tree planting. Rituals drawing people together are widely recognised as helping the healing process. I am trained as a mental health first aider and am empathetic, supportive, and kind. I will hold space for you,
