Your celebration, your way, written by an experienced, trusted, creative, civil celebrant Fiona Mac. How you met, your hopes and dreams for the future, why you chose your children’s names or celebrating a life well lived. An experienced joyful storyteller with a zest for life, I can offer you a creative, caring, thoughtful approach with opportunities to incorporate joyful ceremonies and rituals to make your day truly memorable, seamless and extra special for you and your guests. Let me create your bespoke celebration with love and the attention to detail that leaves nothing to chance on your special day. Happy to officiate in Countryside locations, an outdoor spot special to you both, Lakeside beauty spots, Country Estates, Converted Barns or a beautiful English Garden setting, your choice. From a close Scottish family background and having worked overseas for many years, I specialise in working with all couples bringing friends & families together from different cultures for your special day.

With over 20 years crafting stories, a background in public speaking and with working with the media, I bring a combination of a flare, caring and a creative approach, along with high-level planning and attention to detail that gives confidence to all those that engage me.

It’s your special day and with a combination of actively listening to your story, hopes and dreams and then thoroughly researching and in partnership with you, creating the right ceremony script for you and your partner. The “getting to know you” meeting is relaxed and fun, learning about how you met, what you love about each other and with many years in media and public speaking I weave your script that is unique to you both. Sharing experience and ideas that ensure your wedding is exceptional and beautiful, a true celebration of your love. A wedding ceremony that your guests will never forget as you start your new life together as a couple. I calm any jitters and ensure you can concentrate on each other, your family and guests. Your celebration, we create together, will be joyful, full of love with lots of special memories for all to take away.
What do I offer?
Weddings
I love to work with couples that are open to ideas to make their celebration truly unique. We can genuinely make your wedding dreams come true. We are not hampered by legal jargon or prescribed wording and so we can be as creative as you want your ceremony to be.
With a passionate Gaelic heritage, I love to include joyful rituals that have meaning for you both, unity candles, handfasting, ring warming and sand ceremonies all add something very special and ensure that you can include special, key family members and friends to make your ceremony totally unique to you. With our initial discovery meeting we will share ideas and start our journey together to make your day your wedding day exceptional.
Your wedding day is my total focus , there are no time pressures or restrictions and as your celebrant, I only officiate at one wedding each day.
Friday, Saturday and Sundays I have a set starting fee, for other days of the week I offer a £70.00 reduction for your ceremony.

Funerals
Supporting a family to take the time and have space to celebrate a life of a loved one is truly an honour. A recent natural burial celebration I led said ” I cannot recommend Fiona highly enough. She was exceptionally kind, patient and professional and, from the word go, I knew that my mother’s funeral was in safe hands. Fiona must have put in hours and hours of work to making sure that everything was perfect. It was clear that she wanted the Eulogy to be just right and she had clearly thought about every detail. Once it was written, she was entirely willing to change whatever we wanted whether it was to add details or take them out; her sole aim was that we should be happy with the result, and we certainly were. With Fiona’s involvement we had a service that was personal and beautiful. Thank you Fiona for your kindness, attention to detail and professionalism.
Meeting the family face to face and hearing all the stories of their loved one enables me to write a beautiful tribute, eulogy and service, I really do feel I know them so well at the end of our meeting and can ensure that the family receive the space and support to say farewell on the day of the funeral.
Always encouraging family or friend involvement in the service, it can make the funeral all the more special if family members or friends want to contribute and do readings and whilst I understand that this can be difficult and emotional I am always there to support.
Happy to have your service recorded or live-streamed to overseas guests and to incorporate a photo montage showing your loved one’s special life moments.
We are not hampered by legal wording or process, so you can ensure the music you choose totally reflects your loved ones’ and families wishes.

Having specialised working in this sector for the last 7 years, I care passionately that a funeral should be created with care and thought to ensure that where possible, your loved one’s lives are celebrated and the family left behind, are given time and space to say their farewells. Described as sincere, empathetic and supremely kind, I will ensure your loved one is given the respect, honour and voice to allow you and the wider family to grieve and say goodbye in a way that gives both closure and joy. Intimate wedding ceremony
Being in the wedding world myself, watching another supplier in the industry is always fascinating. First hand experience makes recommending to my own clients a no brainer. The relationship that Fiona had built up with her clients, my niece, the little personal touches and hot spots that she added in with the formalities, the presentation and delivery of the whole service was just perfection. And to think? With the clients living in Cyprus and coming home to get married, this was achieved via zoom. An incredibly lovely, talented lady who clearly loves what is so much more than just her job. I genuinely hope I get to work with you again. 🖤
End of Life Celebration For J
Thank you for the for the electronic versions of the final script for J’s funeral service. I was very impressed with the hard copy you gave me, your script, and the words are beautiful. Ashes Ceremony
2 years ago, I lost my wife and soul mate of 20 years but because of Covid restrictions our family were unable to scatter her ashes until now. I found the whole process so overwhelming until Fiona picked up the pieces and created the perfect Ashes Ceremony. Fiona was wonderful, supportive, compassionate, patient, and professional.
