Hi! I am a vibrant and creative celebrant based on the Wild Atlantic Way of the West Coast of Ireland. I perform both Legal and non-legal Wedding Ceremonies, Vow Renewals, Naming Ceremonies & Milestone Ceremonies and I am a proud supporter of the LGBTQI+ community. The day that Ireland became the first country in the world to legalise Same-Sex marriage by popular vote made me so proud of my little country.
I so love the process of crafting a fully bespoke and unique ceremony for a couple or family and look at it as a true privilege to be part of.
While I am happy to travel for your ceremony I do live in an utterly breath taking part of the world so if you are looking for a destination wedding with romance, mythology and stunningly beautiful photo opportunities I am your woman. What's my ceremony style?
My style is fun and vibrant and I love nothing more than when a couple or family come to me with a request to make their ceremony unique, meaningful and truly memorable. My mission is to create a unique and bespoke ceremony that truly reflects your personality. I don’t do generic or template ceremonies and I pride myself in the fact that no two of my ceremonies are ever the same! I love bringing in spiritual elements to a ceremony or elements from a persons culture or heritage. To me being in ceremony with people no matter whether a small intimate affair or a large gathering is very much about remembering who we are, honouring those who have gone before us and carrying the light for the generations to come.

Highlight
One of my favourite moments was when a very special couple requested a healing fire ceremony before their vow renewal. They wanted to release all that no longer served them both individually and as a couple. It was such a powerful ceremony for me to hold space for and I will be eternally grateful to them for trusting me with such a profound moment. From the moment we first make that initial connection right up to the ‘Big Day’, I am with you every step of the way. I am a proud member of the Irish Ethical Celebrant Society and for me that means so so much particularly since Ireland recently voted to legalise Same-Sex Marriage.
It is difficult to say what my ideal couple is as I have worked with so many different people from all walks of life and to me all couples are unique and special and deserve to have their thoughts and hopes listened to. I love the couple who know exactly what they want just as much as I love the couple who are utterly clueless!
From the moment you make contact with me and we embark on this journey together you have my full attention…we are in this together! I so love the process of crafting a bespoke ceremony, choosing the poems and readings, writing the love story, helping the couple with their vows; each step is a privilege for me to be part of.
I offer my couples a professional and heart led service where I accompany them on every step of their ceremony journey. From the moment we connect to the day of the ‘I Do’ I am available with ideas, inspiration, calming words, creativity and an impressive collection of love quotes and poetry! I love nothing more than diving in to my books to find the perfect words for the perfect moment in our couples ceremony. Some of my favourite enhancements are Hand Fasting, Sand Ceremony, Ring Warming and the Unity Candle but my absolute favourite is something I am proud to have created myself…Cacao Ceremony. In the months leading up to your Big Day I will be there for you every step of the way, whether it’s reassuring words that are needed or some deep breathing exercises (I’m a trained Yoga teacher!) or a little inspiration from my vast collection of love quotes and poetry; I’ve got you.
I promise your ceremony will be a true reflection of your personality, I don’t do generic ceremonies. Every ceremony I write is unique and bespoke for you.
Naming Ceremonies
One of my favourite ceremonies to conduct is a Baby Naming Ceremony, there is so much love in the air! It is such a privilege to be part of this tiny persons special day and to witness their loved ones hopes and dreams for their future. It is generally a more informal and relaxed affair than other ceremonies and one where there is so much scope for family involvement.
A lovely enhancement that is very often used is the Wish Tree. This is where each guest writes a little message of love on a piece of paper and then ties it to a bunch of twigs which represent a tree. Another option is to have a miniature tree in a pot such as miniature orange or lemon tree. These messages are then gathered at the end of the ceremony and safely put away for the child to read in the future.

As a busy mum of 3 kiddos myself I understand the needs for a Naming Ceremony to be fuss free and child friendly while also being fun and meaningful! I love how members of the baby’s family can have active roles in their naming ceremony whether it’s to read a poem or bestow a blessing or bring a special gift…there are endless roles that I would love to explore with you!
Renewal of Vows
Maybe its been one year or maybe it has been 10 years since you first said ‘I do’ but the love is stronger than ever and you want to celebrate this! What better way to do that than with a Vow Renewal Ceremony. It might be a small intimate ceremony where its just the two of you or it might be a chance to invite all your friends and family and have a mega party! Whatever way you want to do it I have lots of ideas to make it memorable and meaningful.
No matter what type of ceremony I perform my commitment to listening to your needs is the same. It is so important to me that you feel heard, that your hopes and desires have been considered and that this ceremony is bespoke and unique to you and not just a generic scripted ceremony. Celtic Hand Tying also known as Hand Fasting is an ancient tradition in matrimony and where we get the term ‘tying the knot.’ It is a lovely part of both the Wedding Ceremony and Vow Renewal where the couple may use different coloured ribbons to symbolise their marriage; red for passion, green for growth, gold for prosperity. As part of our planning together I can suggest some other beautiful ceremony enhancements available such as Sand Ceremony, tree planting, broom jumping, wine box ceremony etc. I am also very excited to tell you more about a unique Cacao Ceremony which I offer to couples.

When a couple choose to renew their vows they might choose to do things quite differently to their actual wedding day. They might now have children and wish to include them in the ceremony in a very meaningful way. Many couples opt for a more intimate and informal gathering and love that they have the freedom to do things their way. I love working with couples who have done the big wedding and now really want something small and intimate to focus on their love and commitment to each other. I promise to bring you a truly unique and meaningful Vow Renewal Ceremony that will beautifully affirm your commitment to each other all over again!

We couldn’t have imagined a more personal, meaningful ceremony.
Right from the start, Fiona’s creativity and opennes to trying out anything shone through. For months leading to our wedding she led us through the process of crafting a very unique, deeply meaningful ceremony. She took the time to truly get to know us. She wasn’t just throwing out generic ideas – she was coming up with stuff that felt like it was handpicked just for us. She gave us the freedom to make the ceremony our own, but her personal touch was everywhere. Friends and family couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful it was. Trying to describe the role Fiona had in our wedding is actually a little difficult because she was such a significant and important part of it. Fiona helped us through every single step of the wedding ceremony, from the prep before hand, checking in on us leading up to it, helping with all the set up and then of course the actual ceremony! Fiona is a truly kind and calming presence. Both of us were (naturally) nervous and we are not people who love the spot light. Fiona put us at ease and completely tailored our ceremony to us. Her words on the day were truly beautiful. She is certainly gifted with her verbal expression! The only issue I had was trying not to cry and ruin my makeup because I was so touched! Which of course is actually a good thing. Many of our guests had never been to a ceremony like ours and afterwards everyone praised the ceremony and in particular Fiona. If you are looking for a kind, thoughtful, articulate and genuinely good person to complete a ceremony for you, then I could not recommend Fiona any higher!

I cannot begin to describe how incredible Fiona is. When I reached out to her from the states, I was hoping to find someone willing to renew our vows… A simple ceremony to denote 40 years with my partner. Fiona met With us via zoom, then asked some guiding questions. With those little crumbs, she painted a picture that left everyone in tears. The location, the poetry, the music.. It was simply magical. Fiona is a rare human caring, gentle, a great listener. We feel better having met her. We cannot recommend her enough. If you are looking to celebrate anything..
