Hi, I'm Hannah
Key moments in our lives deserve to be celebrated; and I help people do just that, in whatever way they wish. I work closely with all my families and couples to ensure both the planning, and the event itself, are as rewarding and stress-free as possible.
I love to be creative and challenge expectations. So, if you’re looking for a vintage wedding in the depths of a wood, or wish to mark the end of someone’s life with a special cliff-top ceremony, then I’m your woman! I am equally happy delivering a wedding ceremony at either a stately home or the local village hall. I have delivered all kinds of events over the years and in all sorts of places.
I work mainly in London, East & West Sussex, Surrey and Kent. However, I am also available for weddings outside of these locations, including beyond of the UK.
What's my ceremony style?
Finding fresh approaches to ceremonies is what drives me and, with a long history of working within the creative and cultural industries, I’m used to problem solving and thinking on my feet.
Wherever the venue, and whatever the occasion, my focus is always on creating something truly authentic to both the people, and the places, that each ceremony serves to celebrate.
Being a fan of the great outdoors I especially enjoy any farm, field, woodland or garden event – whether that be a festival-style tipi-wedding or a funeral at a natural burial ground.
Celebrating gives us a time to reflect, reconnect, and make new memories, and there are no rules on how we do that, which is what I probably love most!

Why choose Hannah?
I am absolutely passionate about meeting new people, understanding them and their lives, telling their ‘stories’ and creating a little bit of magic and wonder for them. And, I’d be thrilled to do the same for you…
I’m told I’m a calming force, warm, approachable, thorough, organised, empathetic, reliable, and a good listener. I also love sharing laughter and cake.
If you’re a same-sex, interracial, multi-cultural or multi-faith couple looking for a celebrant then please know that you’ve come to exactly the right place. The ‘House of Hannah’ is a house of love, acceptance and support for everyone, everywhere.
What do I offer?
My favourite kind of weddings are those with stylish simplicity…vintage chic, eco glamour, laid-back luxe… If there’s an element of ‘homespun and handmade’ too, then I’m a massive fan. I’m equally happy at a stately home or at the local village hall. Or, maybe you would like to have a simple and intimate wedding or vow renewal ceremony in your own back garden. I work very closely with all my clients to create something truly personal, and to ensure both the planning, and the event itself, are as rewarding and stress-free as possible. Plus, with a background in the arts and event management, I can also advise on the choreography and staging of the ceremony too. My job is an opportunity to be creative, and challenge expectations – so no ‘cookie-cutter’ weddings will be found here! And, if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, then I’m your woman!
Why choose Hannah for your wedding?
Being a Celebrant combines most of my great passions – meeting new people, visiting new places, organising events, creative writing and cats – okay well, not so much the cats, but anyway…
And, along the way I’ve met a lot of FABULOUS individuals – people just like YOU!
I’m a calming force, warm, approachable, empathetic, reliable, and a good listener. If you’re a same-sex, interracial, multi-cultural or multi-faith couple looking for a celebrant then you’ve come to the right place. The ‘House of Hannah’ is a house of absolute love, acceptance and support for everyone.
Unfortunately Hannah Osmond Celebrant is not available for Naming Ceremonies.
Renewal of Vows
Why choose Hannah for your renewal of vows?
Helping families bid a loving farewell to their loved one is a real privilege and something I never take for granted. As we prepare for the funeral I’m there to listen – not only to what is being said – but also to hear what is present between the gaps.
Whatever the circumstance it is an incredibly testing and emotional time and I view myself as a safe and empathetic pair of hands; guiding and supporting people. I am a writer and teller of stories – and what more important story is there, than the tale of someone’s life? I take the pressure away from families and help them focus on the heart of the matter, whilst I deal with the details. I have delivered more than 200 funerals and I pride myself on giving each and every family the best service I possibly can.
Over the years I have delivered all kinds of different farewells – burials, cremations, ashes interments, ashes scatterings, celebrations of life, memorial services and so on. I’ve worked with families to create traditional funerals as well as what we would term a modern funeral – whichever it is, my ambition is to enable your wishes and those of your loved one. Whatever style or type of funeral service I am delivering, I pride myself on sensitivity, authenticity and professionalism. I am completely independent and deliver secular services as well as those incorporating different faiths or belief systems.
Central to everything is the life of the person we are remembering and I will work hard to ensure that their funeral reflects them and their life.
Why choose Hannah for your funeral?
I am going to meet you on your level – share a coffee with you, listen to you, work with you. I’m going to offer all the support I can and I am on your side. We’ll meet in person to begin with – wherever logistics allow – and then we’ll be in regular communication throughout via phone, email, etc. You’ll be kept up to date throughout the preparation and planning of your loved one’s service and I shall be available to you for Qs or queries at anytime – no matter how trivial they may seem. Kind, warm, personable and professional – I am here to help.

Thoughtful and Caring
We are so thankful to Hannah for beautifully hosting our Mum’s funeral. She spoke with with such compassion and every guest commented how it was as if she new our Mum. Hannah really took the time to get to know us and our Mum, and made sure she spoke about every detail of her life. A lovely, Kind person, would highly recommend!
Hannah made our ceremony!
Hannah made our ceremony everything that we wanted and so much more! Throughout the whole process, from preparing our ceremony through to the day, she made it feel easy and stress free. Hannah drew out information from my husband and I without being overly formal or pressuring us. She tailored the ceremony to us brilliantly, bringing humour, lightheartedness, warmth and genuine care to the occasion. She provided us with a beautiful selection of readings to look through at our leisure when we were not sure of what we wanted and made the run-through the day before a genuinely enjoyable experience in a day that was filled with last minute rushing and stresses. Her love of animals and our cat’s reaction to her when she came to visit initially was also wonderful! We could not recommend Hannah highly enough!
A huge source of comfort
My father died of old age during the Covid 19 restrictions. This was the second family death is as many months and I was desperately trying to find a meaningful way for us to honour him, given that some of our family were in vulnerable groups unable to attend…..and then Hannah came along. She guided and supported me, not only listening to what I wanted to include but also listening to what I wasn’t saying. Together we put together something very special. Yes, there were tears on the day but we all went home smiling, with a great sense of comfort, and this was entirely down to Hannah.
