Creative and personal ceremonies that are individual to you. Culturally diverse ceremonies. Symbolic gestures such as handfasting and wine blending. Music, and video expertise.
Hi, I'm Trevor
Harmonious Ceremonies is all about celebrating life in the past, present, and future. I work in harmony with families to create bespoke ceremonies that are deeply personal, and feel exactly right for them. Everyone is unique, and I take great care to reflect that.
Ceremonies bring people together on the most important occasions, whether it is to celebrate the joy of marriage, or the cherished memories of a loved one’s life. You have the freedom to choose how you want the day to be.
It could be a wedding in the woods, on the beach, or in your Nan’s back garden, with an intimate, serene ceremony, or something more flamboyant. We can be as creative as you wish.
When saying goodbye to a loved one, whether at a local crematorium, or natural burial site, the focus is on celebrating the life lived, with a full, rich ceremony, where the family has a voice.
What's my ceremony style?
My style has been described as warm and engaging. I enjoy the creative process of working with people to perform ceremonies ranging from the formal, to the unconventional, but always with a human touch. I love the outdoors, so I am very comfortable if it’s a hillside wedding, or a woodland burial. If you’re planning a festival marriage, definitely get in touch!
I enjoy creating ceremonies that have a sense of fun, and I love to see people smile, but also gain great satisfaction from the more reserved ones too. Whatever the occasion, it is always sincere and heartfelt.

Why choose Trevor?
I am an experienced celebrant – just new to the Celebrant Directory!
In my spare time, I am passionate about music, play in local bands, and organise music events, supporting new performers in gaining confidence, building rapport and trust. Having also worked in technology, education, and the creative arts, my attention to detail and planning skills are well established.
In addition to my experience in writing and public speaking, I am a professionally trained and accredited celebrant.
I am very personable, and enjoy meeting people. I get a great deal of satisfaction working with couples and families to create ceremonies, and I take pride in making the day special for them.
What do I offer?
First of all, congratulations on your engagement, and the great fortune of having met that special someone to share your life with.
It is always a joy to meet couples, hear their stories, hopes, and dreams for the future. Your wedding day should be a celebration of who you are, in the style that you wish.
Together, we have the freedom to create a wedding that can be flamboyant, and full of laughter, or more intimate and romantic, but always heartfelt and loving.
It is such an enjoyable and exciting process, from our first meeting, talking about your initial ideas, which evolve, and gain shape. We can incorporate so many elements, from poems, music, guest speakers, symbolic gestures such as handfasting, wineblending, ring warming, and even tea making (with biscuit dunking vows no less). The latter one was an absolute joy, with everyone laughing and smiling, whilst also deeply loving.
I can help you create your own vows and pledges, which you can write together, or separately if your want them to be a secret until the big day.
From the first time we meet, to the ceremony on the day, I will provide guidance and support to ensure you are relaxed, and free to enjoy every moment.
From one couple: “Yesterday was just perfect, even more than I imagined. I genuinely felt you were cheering myself and Rhys on and felt happy for our union.
My family also thought it was so lovely and magical.”
Why choose Trevor for your wedding?
Your wedding is a very special day in your life. The planning process should be enjoyable, filled with lots of exciting possibilities, and with someone who can confidently guide you throughout. Working with couples, exploring ideas, and helping their vision become reality is a huge pleasure and privilege.
I am a very creative thinker, engaging, and professionally trained by Humanists UK. Of course, you don’t need to be a humanist, but will benefit from their very high standards, the support of the organisation, and a network of celebrants, all backed with insurance.
You will be in safe hands, and have a fabulous time.
Unfortunately Harmonious Ceremonies is not available for Naming Ceremonies.
Renewal of Vows
Why choose Trevor for your renewal of vows?
A funeral is not only about saying farewell, but should celebrate the life lived. People live on through the memories they leave behind, the relationships they had with family and friends, their personality, and passions.
I spend as much time with the family as needed to build a rich picture of their loved one, as seen through their eyes. The ceremony will be a celebration of who they were, telling their story, recalling anecdotes, achievements, and precious moments. We can share stories that bring smiles and laughter, or be reflective and thoughtful. It should be how you wish to honour their memory.
As a non-religious ceremony, we are free to include any music, poems, readings, and tributes you choose. I will be there to guide you through every aspect, and feel it is important that the family feel they have a ‘voice’, where they can read their own words, or ask me to read them on their behalf. Every script is bespoke, and shared with the family to approve beforehand to ensure that it is exactly right for them.
Whether the funeral is at a crematorium, natural burial ground, or another location, the ceremony will be designed to be an apt and meaningful way.
A lovely card from a family stated: (Thank you so much) …. for all that you did and the way that you did it…”
It meant a lot to me.
Why choose Trevor for your funeral?
It is a huge privilege to meet families at such an important time. It is an incredibly life affirming experience to hear about their loved one’s life, and what they meant. Each one is unique, and it is a great honour to tell their story, celebrating their achievements, as well as remembering the little things which say so much.

A lovely service
I’m so glad we chose a humanist celebrant for my mum’s recent funeral. Trevor took the time to listen to us and managed to capture things beautifully. His words really showed my mums colourful character, and the whole event was indeed a celebration of her life. It was so much more personal and I could not have asked for anyone better.
Thank you Trevor
Trevor made the whole process simple. He listened to what we thought we wanted, provided a structure and prompted us when we hesitated, without imposing ideas upon us. We had several goes at writing the eulogy and throughout Trevor was supportive, empathetic and patient.
I would thoroughly recommend Trevor if you are looking for guidance and a calming and reassuring presence in what can be a very stressful experience.
Thank you once again – The Russell Family
Wonderful wedding Celebrant
I first met Trevor at a wedding that I was working at, and knew immediately that he would be perfect for mine and my then girlfriend’s potential future wedding. I made sure to ask for his card, and when the time came a few years later, working with Trevor was an absolute pleasure for both myself and my now wife :)
Trevor was very kind, patient and supportive in helping us plan our ceremony, and also incredibly personable and great fun to be around.
We’ve had constant comments from our wedding guests about how much they loved Trevor and the ceremony that he was instrumental in creating at our wedding, which really means a lot to us, and so we wouldn’t hesitate for a single second in recommending him for any occasion.
Thank you so much Trevor!
