Hi, I'm jo
Hi my name is Jo and my company is Jojo the Yorkshire Celebrant, as i was born, brought up and lived here in Yorkshire all my life but now settled in Leeds. I was a venue dresser but due to ill health i decided to become a Celebrant as i wanted to remain in the industry. I ADORE weddings and am almost finished my AMC course to become an amazing celebrant who covers ceremonies in venues, outside in woodlands or even at your home. I love the feeling of making someones day the best it can be and writing all about my couples is what i was born to do, i know that now!!! I feel that my business will be a relaxed, informal, approachable, friendly, empathetic one that will make couples feel welcome, happy and ready for me to help them to take this next chapter in their lives.
What's my ceremony style?
As a former wedding venue dresser/planner i feel that i can bring a USP of “on the day planning” to my couples as this is what i did in my former profession. I believe that this would give couples such a peace of mind and calm knowing that on their day someone is there to ensure all goes smoothly. There is nothing worse than not knowing everything you have planned for on your special day is out of your control!! At least with me being there during the morning i am able to ensure there are no worries for the couple so they can relax and enjoy the lead up to their ceremony.

I adore hearing how they met, their hopes & dreams; not only for the wedding but in their future. How many people love their jobs? I do, i absolutely LOVE love & all that goes with it. I love seeing couples faces when we meet to disuss thier ideas – this gives me such a buzz and a zest for life which i hope translates in my ceremony writing & also the way i tell their story.
What do I offer?
Weddings
As a 2nd time wife i really love doing Vow Renewal ceremonies but to be honest i really love all weddings and as long as the couple are happy, they allow me to tell their story, they like what i do then i really dont mind at all what type of wedding ceremony i conduct.
As a former venue dresser i can offer an “ON THE DAY PLANNER” service which means that i can speak in advance to all of the couple’s suppliers and also on the morning of the wedding i ensure that all the suppliers are present and doing the job they were booked to do. This gives the couple such a most welcome peace of mind on their special day which means they are able to enjoy it rather than be worried.
The price for this would be £200 on top of the ceremony price, from £495
