We laughed our entire way through the wedding ceremony and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. From the initial planning stages to the ceremony itself, Louise couldn’t have made the process easier or more enjoyable.

Louise helped us achieve so many wonderful moments within our ceremony that we’d never have been able to do otherwise. The most wonderful addition for us was Louise’s assistance in having our dog be a part of the wedding. The enthusiasm with which Louise worked to integrate Darcie into the ceremony will forever be appreciated. Who doesn’t want their dog to walk down the aisle and sign their marriage certificate?

Louise also suggested we have our reception drinks within the ceremony for guests to “cheers” with at the end of the ceremony. It was a nice touch we wouldn’t have considered on our own, nor is it something we could have done with a registrar-led ceremony.

Secret vows were something I never imagined us doing but Louise made it seem so much easier than we’d have thought. Louise worked as the middle point to make sure we were both writing in a similar manner and length and provided help and guidance when we needed it. Louise also has a really handy guide for different stages of the planning process but the vows guide was the most helpful of all!

One of the first stages of the wedding process was completing a Googleform with loads of questions about us and what we thought we wanted from a ceremony. We opened a bottle of prosecco, ordered a pizza and awkwardly laughed our way through composing answers before sending it off for Louise to read. We both said it was far harder putting into words why we actually wanted to marry than it should have been! By the same token though, it was a really great tool for making us sit down and reminisce and truly consider what we wanted from the day.

We then met Louise at her house and chatted through our answers in more detail. We were both a bit apprehensive about this part because we were nervous it was going to  be awkward and uncomfortable talking about ourselves  but Louise couldn’t have put us more at ease and we had a lovely time.

Getting the first draft of our ceremony script through was amazing. Considering Louise had only met us in person once, she told our story in a way that made you believe she’d been a part of our lives from the start. Neither of us wanted anything too emotional and Louise immediately hit the desired tone, imbuing sarcasm and amusing anecdotes all throughout. It’s not just Louise’s writing style that is incredible, but her delivery is even better. I’ll never tire of reading the script and it’s a lovely memory to treasure.

What more can I say other than if we were to start planning all over again, I’d book Louise before I even booked the venue. So many of our family and friends came over to us throughout the day and told us it was the most different but best ceremony they’d ever attended. We cannot thank Louise enough for her support and guidance throughout the planning process. She even helped us find a new photographer when our first one bailed on us – and agreed to move dates when our first venue cancelled too!

P.S A registrar (probably!) won’t lie to your soon-to-be-husband and say the minibus got lost making it’s way to the venue, when really you and your entire bridal party had to return home because you all left your handbags behind. Chances are they won’t even be able to wait for you if you’re running late. In that moment of panic, knowing Louise was able and willing to wait relieved so much stress.

We’re forever grateful to Louise and I hope to see her marry many of our friends in the future because I think the ceremony spoke for itself.

From the onset of arranging a humanist ceremony Louise was so friendly and helpful. We first met to discuss ‘our story’ and our wedding plans, from that Louise was able to create a wonderful ceremony script, which every guest who attended commented that it was the best wedding ceremony they have been to. It was such a personal ceremony, no boring legal stuff here!!

Louise helped us both write our vows, which was a daunting task! But with Louise’s help and support she made the process simple and easy.

We would not hesitate to reccomend Louise for any event, she made our wedding so special and memorable. I didn’t know that a wedding ceremony could be so much fun! Honestly I wish we were renewing our vows next year just so we can do it all again.
