Hello, I’m Allie, my role is to help people celebrate events, joyful or sad, in the most meaningful and fitting way. It is immensely rewarding and an absolute honour.
I am an independent celebrant based in rural Northumberland, UK. I have spent many years as an actor, director, singer and radio presenter and have had a lifetime’s involvement with arts development and public events at local and national level. I am immensely proud to have trained with The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and to be providing such an important service.
Independent celebrancy is an exciting choice that gives people complete freedom to mark significant transitions in their lives in the way that suits them perfectly! I am excited to offer unique and creative ceremonies throughout the whole of North East England (and sometimes beyond). There are absolutely no restrictions regarding location or time of day or style. Faith content and a wide selection of symbolic elements (such as hand fasting) are available too. I take a very creative approach influenced by my artistic background. As well as being a fully qualified celebrant, I am a trained actor and director and have also sung professionally for many years. I present a weekly show on Radio Tyneside, a popular North East station.
My CV includes work with The English Shakespeare Company and arts development regionally and nationally as well as running my own performance arts and events company. I have experience in the private, public and voluntary sectors as a creative developer, events organiser, trainer and facilitator, project designer and evaluator.
As a member of The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, I am an Associate Member of The National Association of Funeral Directors and SAIF, the National Society of Allied Independent Funeral Directors.
