I absolutely love weddings and big family occasions, celebrating life’s big milestones. I understand how special and meaningful these events are.
I’m passionate about creating a unique ceremony that’s full of love and captures the essence of what you want from your special day.
I’m based in Cork City, and I’m available to facilitate ceremonies all around Ireland.

What's my ceremony style?
Weddings are milestone events in our lives and deserve to be celebrated and shared with the people you love. Every ceremony is unique. As your marriage celebrant, I will work with you together to craft a ceremony that’s a true reflection of the love you share for each other.
Perhaps you are returning to Ireland from abroad to celebrate your wedding or vow renewal ceremony. Or you are just interested in a ceremony that reflects your Irish heritage. If so, there are lots of ways we can weave this into your celebration. Perhaps a bi-lingual ceremony using both Irish and English might be just what you are looking for. Many of the rituals and ceremony enhancements I offer reflect an authentic Celtic tradition that adds meaning, context and symbolism to a modern bespoke ceremony.

All couples are welcomed at Lir Celebrants . We are an inclusive company always valuing and honouring the ideas, perspectives and wishes of our clients. Bespoke wedding ceremonies, including same-sex weddings, multi-cultural weddings, bilingual weddings are all part of our service.
I’m based in Cork City, and I’m happy to facilitate ceremonies all around Ireland.
From the moment you book, your ceremony is my priority. The whole process is a collaborative one. I’ll begin to work on creating your ceremony, sharing my ideas and incorporating your feedback as we go, until we have a ceremony that works perfectly for your special day. We’ll be in direct contact throughout, and I’ll be with you every step of the way.
In the days leading up to the ceremony, we’ll meet to finalise logistics and ensure everything is perfect ahead of the big day.

I have the expertise required to help you design your own wedding ceremony and provide you with a wealth of ideas to help make it one to remember forever. I, not only host your ceremony, but I work with you and prepare you well in advance for your dream wedding day. It’s also really important for me to hear your story. I will take all the time it needs to make sure we get your story into your ceremony, exactly the way you want it to be told, and to respect your personal values and beliefs. I will do everything I can to make your dream wedding ceremony a reality
Naming Ceremonies
Baby Naming Ceremonies are a meaningful and beautiful way to formally introduce your baby to your family and friends. We can design a unique and personal ceremony for you. Your ideas, beliefs and customs can be woven through the ceremony to make it a truly memorable occasion. A naming ceremony is non-religious. As there’s no legal aspect to this type of ceremony, they can be held at a venue of your choice, including your own home.
After receiving your enquiry, we’ll arrange a video call or a face-to-face meeting. I’ll explain how I create a bespoke ceremony for you, and answer any questions. This short meeting is free of charge.

Renewal of Vows
Vow renewals are a glorious way to celebrate your love and reaffirm the promises you made to each other on your wedding day. If you are thinking about having a vow renewal ceremony, a joyous and unique celebration of your marriage can be planned easily and expertly. All of the guidance and ideas to make this a special celebration is in our capable hands.
A vow renewal is purely ceremonial. There are no legal documents involved and it can be held anywhere at any time.
Lir Celebrants will collaborate with you in creating a bespoke vow renewal ceremony that honours the importance of your commitment to each other. Our wedding day
Looking back at out day we were really lucky to have chosen Marian to be our celebrant. Marian took at the stress out of the ceremony. She really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. From day one no matter what query, edit or suggestion we had Marian took it on board. Her ability to capture our love story and portray it to all our guests in an thoughtful but entertaining way was a highlight of our day. Multiple guests commented on how well she spoke and how she created a calm, relaxed atmosphere. Marian is a true professional and we would recommend her to anyone.

We booked Marian for our wedding after having a lovely chat with her online as we were living abroad at the time. Marian instantly understood us as a couple and understood the ceremony style we wanted to have on our big day. Marian was communicative, sending us drafts of our ceremony in advance and was very thoughtful and considerate to any changes we wanted to make. Everything went so smoothly on the day and our only regret is that we didn’t get to spend more time with Marian! So many of our guests complimented the ceremony and felt it captured us perfectly! Thank you so much Marian – we are so grateful for you and you made our day so special. We could not recommend Marian more!
Naming Ceremony
Marian exceeded all our expectations as the officiant for Emily’s naming ceremony. From the moment we contacted her, Marian’s professionalism and warmth shone through. She took the time to understand our family’s values, incorporating them beautifully into the ceremony.
Her words were heartfelt and eloquent, capturing the essence of our love for Emily and our hopes for her future. Marian’s demeanor helped create an atmosphere of warmth and sincerity, making the ceremony truly memorable for us and our guests. We can’t thank her enough for creating such a special and meaningful experience for our family and friends.
She was extremely punctual, took the time to practise with a mic as we had a large number attending and received a lot of praise from our guests due to her attention to detail.
We have a wedding to happen yet, and if we were to get married in Ireland, Marian would be our first choice as a celebrant without hesitation. Highly recommended!
