Hi, I'm Gerri (Geraldine)
I am Gerri of Making Memories by Gerri. Professional, calm and passionate about creating your perfect day and making it one to remember. Holding your hand each step along the way. I am based in Kent and travel across the Southeast. Don’t settle for same old, same old. No two couples are the same. Each ceremony is unique, personal and special. Tailored to suit you. Adding heartfelt vows, a little humour, romance and love. Those few words spoken will be remembered for a lifetime. Getting to know you and developing a rapport and friendship so it will seem like we have known each other for years.
I have even appeared on a quiz show on TV, so I know all about nerves on the day.
I also offer a vow writing service (small charge) and Meet and Greet your Guests (small charge)
What's my ceremony style?
Weddings don’t have to be a sombre affair, I can assure you your guests won’t get bored by endless words. Your ceremony will be personal and tailored to you. Creating a special day with the people most dear. Including family and friends or even pets into your memorable occasion. Have you a theme you wish to work to? Whether it be romantic, modern or rustic. I will help plan your ceremony. Just sit back, relax and your dream ceremony will become a reality. End your day with a smile. Finally, we have got to your fabulous day. I’ll be there to steady your nerves and make sure your ceremony goes without a hitch, with you both signing an amazing certificate and ending with the announcement you have been waiting for. In the week after your ceremony, I will send you a copy of the ceremony to help you remember your day. Don’t be like the rest of them, be different.

I am offering a free cocktail ceremony. Such fun and will add sparkle and fun to the day. So many cocktails to choose from. It can be non-alcoholic too. Just think of the flavour combination.

First of all let’s have a chat to make sure I am the right Celebrant for you. Nothing is greater than seeing two people happy and enjoying their wedding day. How do you visualise your day? You may wish to have a formal, relaxed, modern or traditional ceremony. Whatever your theme I have fresh modern ideas to express the love between you both. I like to be creative with a little bit of fun. We don’t want solemn faces do we? You may wish to include a loved reading or poem. There are no set rules. Whatever your thoughts your dream wedding is here.
What do I offer?
Weddings
My ideal couple are open to suggestions and ideas. They feel perfectly “safe” in my hands for me to weave their story and dreams into the ceremony. We will get to know each other, building a rapport, treating me as one of their circle of friends. Able to run ideas passed me without hesitation and knowing where possible these will be inserted into their ceremony.
My favourite type of ceremony is a wedding that is fun and relaxed with a little bit of romance thrown in, possibly a tear or two (of happiness).
I offer two packages:
Personalised ceremony service starts from ÂŁ550.
Special ceremony elements are in addition to the ceremony fee of ÂŁ550 if a personalised ceremony service is chosen. Any elements can be included for each additional fee such as Handfasting, Rose Ceremony and Cocktail Ceremony.
Custom Elements from ÂŁ75. A bespoke element made just for you.

Both packages include:
Initial interview (1-2 hours)
Draft ceremony (6-8 hours)
Venue liaison/visit if required (1-2 hours)
The draft Anatomy of a Ceremony (1-2 hours)
Second interview to agree and modify the first draft (1-2 hours)
Completion of the finalised draft (2-3 hours)
Final interview and practice (2-3 hours)
Creation of a presentation copy of the ceremony (1-2 hours)
Officiate ceremony and be available for photographs if required (2-3 hours)

Why choose Gerri (Geraldine) for your wedding?
A couple should feel relaxed and confident with their celebrant from the word go and this is very important to me. I am happy for the couple to contact me whenever they have a query or wish to confirm something throughout their journey to their day. I am attentive to detail and anything particularly special to them can be included in the ceremony.
Ensuring the couple are happy with the script as it is written and should there need to be any alterations required, am happy to do so.
They need to be reassured that I am there for them and adapting to suit a couple’s style, dreams and wishes.
Naming Ceremonies
I am a Family Celebrant and love to work with all children, whether they are babes in arms, toddlers, young or older children. They can be newborn babies or new additions to the family unit through marriage or partnership. Each family and child are treated as individuals and the ceremony is styled to suit them.
I have one naming package to which Unity Elements can be added for a supplement cost such as the Time Capsule or Naming Ribbon Ceremony. If there are older children amongst the family they cam be included in the Sand Ceremony

Why choose Gerri (Geraldine) for your naming ceremony?
Each family is different and each ceremony is written for that family and baby/child. I can make suggestions to the family that would include older family members such as grandparents who would love to be included in the ceremony such as planting a rose bush or something similar. Grandfathers particularly like to be involved with this. Grandmothers can be asked to make something that has a special meaning and have this placed in the Time Capsule.
It is important to listen to what the family would like for their ceremony and incorporating their ideas.
Renewal of Vows
The ideal couple who have had a long marriage and wish to share this long marriage and love with their friends and family. Or a couple who may have had a tough time and just wish to renew the vows they originally said and declare their love for each other again.
The ceremony I particularly like is a couple who have been married for quite some time and still love each other and wish to declare that they still love each other after so many years. Their delight in each other is just so wonderful to look at.
With the vow renewal package, Unity Elements can be added at a supplement which include Handfasting, Candle or a Cocktail Ceremony

Why choose Gerri (Geraldine) for your renewal of vows?
A couple needs to be able to place their trust in me in being able to create the magic they had when they first married. They may not remember their original vows and if this is the case creating new vows which demonstrate the love they still have for each other after so many years of marriage.
Creating a ceremony that they would remember and being different from their original day.
Unfortunately Making Memories by Gerri is not available for Funerals.

Personable celebrant
My husband and I are from Australia and planned a wedding in the UK with close family and friends. We chose Gerri to be our celebrant after doing some research on google and making contact with her. Gerri was always very responsive to messages and kept us updated if she was going to be on leave in case we had any concerns whilst she was away. We had a few zoom video calls with Gerri prior to our wedding day from Australia and we found her to be very personable and she wrote us a great story about our relationship. Our guests enjoyed listening to our story and we all had a laugh when you accidentally said we were having a spaghetti throw instead of confetti! Thank you again for being such a special part of our day Gerri, you were fantastic and have helped us create memories that will last a lifetime.
