Hi, I'm Peter
I’m Peter Mercer and I create and perform bespoke wedding, elopement and vow renewal ceremonies in Marrakech and everywhere else in Morocco.
I’m based in Marrakech, and have officiated at over 130 weddings and vow renewal ceremonies in Marrakech and the surrounding regions since 2011.
I craft unique, personalised ceremonies that I guarantee both you and your guests will love – or your money back!
We start with a no-obligation video call or meeting in Marrakech for you to decide if you want me to officiate your wedding. I’ll explain the process and talk through the options for the ceremony. After, I’ll send a couple of questionnaires to gather all the information I need to start creating the ceremony.
What's my ceremony style?
I offer bespoke ceremonies for weddings, elopements and vow renewals. The ceremonies follow the traditional wedding format but are entirely personalised, making them unique and memorable. With your input and that of your chosen close friends and family, I craft your love story to share during the ceremony. It’s a really enjoyable and engaging part of the day.

Delighted
We were delighted with Peter to be the wedding officiant during our ceremony. He prepared everything excellent, is calm, funny and speaks very clearly. He also made me feel comfortable just before the ceremony when I needed it.
Wonderful ceremony
We just wanted to say a massive thank you to you for the wonderful ceremony you conducted for us on Friday. It was one of the parts of the day that we were both looking forward to most, since the experience we both had on filling out our questionnaires was such a lovely one.
It’s safe to say that you exceeded all our expectations. It was such a joy to hear how you put our story together, making both us and our guests relive and tell our story- you made us all laugh and cry and it was truly unforgettable. We’re so happy we took the decision to film this as watching it back will never get old.
