Hi, I'm Meg
I am a humanist celebrant based in Sheffield, and I would love to create a bespoke ceremony for you and your loved ones to celebrate this milestone in your life. Together we can craft a script based on your values, your story and your family.
My job is to make the whole process as enjoyable and simple as possible. If you’re hoping for a celebrant who will make your life easy (shout out to the tired parents out there…) and be as excited as you are about your day then you’ve come to the right place.

What's my ceremony style?
My style can be summed up as: smiley, warm and genuine. People who work with me say I am passionate and hardworking, and I always try to be non-judgemental and supportive.
I’m here to take the pain out of planning your ceremony and make the process fun. If you’re daunted by the scale of creating something totally personalised and bespoke, I can make suggestions and give examples to help spark your imagination. Together we can find the symbolic gestures, poetry, readings and music to best express all you want to say.
If you know exactly what you want, but you’re worried it’s a bit “out there” I’m here for that too. I’ve planned ceremonies with only a few days notice (thanks Covid!), and I’ve literally climbed up mountains in the name of elopement romance. I’ll put in that extra bit of effort to make your event magical.

Renewal of Vows

We can never have enough love in our lives. Vow renewals are a wonderful way to celebrate a milestone anniversary and reaffirm your loving commitment to one another.
Renewals are also perfect for couples whose original wedding day was affected by the pandemic. We’ll plan together just as we would for a wedding, and we can include extra little details connected to your original day, making it twice as special.
Unfortunately Meg Senior Ceremonies is not available for Funerals.

Couldn’t have been happier!
After spending quite a lot of time looking for a celebrant we were fortunate enough to be able to book Meg for our wedding. We suspected when we saw her website, and knew as soon as we spoke on the phone, that she would be absolutely perfect. The whole process was really enjoyable, she got us and what we wanted, and was able to have fun and play with it, whilst also pulling out the things most important to us as a couple. She felt like a very safe pair of hands. Out of all the immediate feedback that our guests gave us about the wedding on the day, they all spoke about how beautiful the ceremony was and how it was a real highlight of the day. Thank you so much Meg for making our day so special and personal to us as a couple.

Meg was our humanist celebrant for our wedding, and oh baby, how glad we are to have had her with us for our special day.
From the moment of contacting Meg, she was enthusiastic and personable with a great balance of professionalism. She quickly tuned into our vibe, but was authentic from the get go. From our first phone call to book an initial meeting, she had our best interests at heart.
Individually, we told Meg our story and our feelings about one another. She was respectful and genuine in responding to our most deepest feelings. It felt like a new friend who was getting to know us both. Her thoroughness and attention to detail made us feel like someone had our backs to make sure our day was extra special.
Our ceremony was small and intimate and every guest remarked on how perfectly she had capture us as a couple. her wonderful calm and engaging way was adored by everyone, she will never be forgotten.
The speech that Meg wove out of our love story was so touching, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place! Whilst Meg guided us with suggestions and ideas for the ceremony, we felt that every part of it was uniquely ours. She was encouraging and had a great balance of honesty and authenticity.
We cannot thank her enough for her words on our day and keeping things in order behind the scenes. Meg was the perfect human to bring together our story and tell it to our world.
