Hi, I'm Nancy
No two people are the same and no two ceremonies should be either! Allow me to take you on an adventure through your love and life stories, weaving words that really resonate with you, telling your story with creativity, romance and humour ! I enjoy delivering ceremonies in unique places, and will assist you to “dance to your own drum”, with ceremonies in nature, drawing in pagan, mediaeval or festival vibes, including symbolic rituals that resonate with you, if that’s your dream. I am equally at home designing traditional or themed ceremonies . Whether it’s in your back garden, in a stately home, at sunset over water, moonlit in the woods, or drifting in a balloon over the countryside, I will make it magical, with all the bells and whistles imaginable.
I have the highest qualification attainable in this field in the uk, and I’m a member of the AOIC, so you’re safe in my hands.
What's my ceremony style?
My style is colourful, playful, quirky, reliable and caring, and I’m very interested in any type of ceremony. I’m quite a sentimental person and I do wear my heart on my sleeve, but by being open, I am able to tune in to my clients stories, drafting scripts that resonate with them. I love upbeat ceremonies, but when a more serious heartfelt ceremony is required I am equally at home. I have been trained to deliver various symbolic actions, hand fasting, sand blending, unity candles, tree planting ceremonies etc… Sky’s the limit! And I love to explore the different pathways that ceremony can take. I have also conducted solstice and friendship ceremonies, there are a whole host of ceremonies out there to be explored.
I adore writing ceremonies, and now offer a script only service, so your ceremony can be delivered by anyone of your choice.

I’m an artist, musician, writer, proud mother of two, wife of one and dog mum to a couple of fantastic woofers!.. Oh, and a dementia practitioner. I love to be creative, colourful and lyrical , but can be very sensible and organised when necessary. I carry a big bag for all eventualities and design ceremonies for my clients that shine. To exceed your expectations is always my intention.
My ceremonies are romantic and powerful, yet playful, and I love conducting ceremonies that are a wee bit unusual. Bring your imagination to the table and let’s see what evolves.
I am, of course, inclusive 🌈 Love is love, after all, that should go without saying. My couples get what they truly want and as an independent celebrant I work without any restrictions. If you’ve got some ideas, I would love to hold your hand as we dive in.. to design the ceremony that you have always dreamed of!

Every couple are unique, and I give my undivided attention and encouragement to every couple that I am involved with.
I embrace unusual ideas and believe that we can make anything work…well almost anything.. just imagine!
Everyone has an interesting story in them, and it’s my job to gently persuade it out, crafting it into a beautiful script.
I guess my ideal couples are the ones that come to me with ideas of what they really want..
I love a creative venue choice, different themes, and I resonate with unity rituals.
And if you’d like a wedding in nature, with dogs involved, my enthusiasm will be through the roof!
Ultimately though, if you’re in love, I would love to work with you no matter how simple or extravagant.
I will work closely with you whilst designing your ceremony and preparing your script, ensuring that I fully deliver the words you need to say. I will be available to answer questions and tweak the script every step of the way.
Creating a seamless story, working with you on writing your vows and promises and rehearsing the delivery of them with you.
I will be the reassuring smile at the end of the aisle.
And present you with a souvenir script after the event to remember your ceremony forever.
I add any symbolic actions required including hand fasting, sand blending, tree planting, loving cup, ring warming, broom jumping, cocktail ceremonies, wine box love letter ceremony..the list goes on.
I also offer a script only service so that people of your choice can deliver your ceremony.
For this I will do everything that I do for a wedding, including a rehearsal, I just won’t be there on the day.

Naming Ceremonies
I love working with people who are open to opening their hearts! Naming Ceremonies are an amazing way of welcoming new children into a family. If you have decided that a religious ceremony is not for you, but need to formally or informally mark the inclusion of a new family member, this could be the ceremony for you. As with weddings, a Naming Ceremony can be completely tailored to your needs, they can be held anytime or anywhere. You can make promises of devotion to your child in your own words, and you can share all your hopes and dreams for your child with your friends and family present. I also offer Welcoming Ceremonies for adopted children or the children of families that are coming together. This is a wonderful opportunity to make children feel included and special. All of these ceremonies can include symbolic actions like tree planting, treasure boxes, time capsules etc.. the list is endless…

Renewal of Vows
What an honour!
Marriages are unions to be cherished and they have many stages.
As love matures, we often see each other differently, and a deeper love and appreciation is often found.
Vow Renewal ceremonies can be a magical way of celebrating this love on another level, that you feel for one another.
This type of ceremony presents an opportunity to make new vows that are more relevant to you today, and make new promises to each other for the future.
Life often presents us with little, or large, bumps in the road, that trigger our desire for vow renewals, or sometimes it’s just really lovely to show our partners our gratitude for every moment that we have with them.
I will be at hand to collaborate with you and write and deliver the perfect script for your Vow Renewal.
As with my weddings, I can also offer a script only service, so that the ceremony can be delivered by someone of your choosing. Perhaps one of your grown up children?

Excellent
Nancy did our ceremony this year. I had never met her but she made us both feel at ease as if we were with old friends. I couldn’t recommend her enough, her creativity was so inspiring and she suggested things that we would not have thought which and took the pressure out of the day. She was there for us through the whole process and nothing was too much trouble.
