As an accredited Humanists UK Wedding Celebrant I create and conduct beautifully written, memorable and personalised non-religious ceremonies, covering all of the North East, North Yorkshire and beyond.
The wonderful thing about a Humanist wedding is you can choose to get married in any way that suits your style and personality as a couple.
From the very traditional to totally wild and bohemian, and absolutely everything in between!

My entire approach is around you and giving you a ceremony that provides a lifetime of lasting magical memories.

I’m a natural storyteller, and I love bringing stories to life as a Wedding Celebrant.
As well as being a Celebrant, I’ve enjoyed more than 30 years in public speaking roles and in highly creative environments that have taken me far and wide internationally. It’s where I honed my talent for creative writing.
I absolutely love connecting with my couples, getting to know them and what makes them tick to give them a wedding ceremony that hits all the right notes on the day, and becomes a magical memory for years to come.

Anywhere that’s special to you, is special to me too. Making sure that the ceremony is authentic to you whether the wedding is great or small is the key.
Some of my favourite locations have been places that have held a special meaning to the couple.
Like on a sandy beach where one couple had their first date, or at a railway siding restaurant where another groom proposed to his bride!

My fee for wedding ceremonies and vow renewals for 2023 starts from £700, which includes everything you need for a perfect, personalised wedding ceremony, no small print, no surprises!

When a couple books a ceremony with me, they don’t just get 30 minutes – they get Zoom meetings, telephone meetings, face to face meetings.
They get to sit with me and plan their ceremony from scratch. All this results in a skilfully written and expertly delivered ceremony on the day.
Not from a template, not a hastily put together generic ceremony – with “insert name here” that could apply to anyone (hello, registrars! 👋🏻).
A bespoke ceremony that is shaped around you and your partner. You get music, a professional PA and wireless microphone system so everything can be clearly heard. You get stories, laughter, guest interaction and tears. You get a ceremony that looks effortless but has been expertly written and delivered ✨

A wonderful, personal wedding
We left it late to book our wedding due to the uncertainty around Covid, so we were a bit worried about how it would all work out. We’re so glad we found Paul! As soon as we spoke to him, he put us at ease and we really enjoyed planning the ceremony and vows with him. He took away any stress, spent time really getting to know us, and helped us with all the little personal touches that make the day so memorable.
Paul is a natural as a Celebrant – he has a friendly, warm, relaxed style and delivers everything with a smile – it was a pleasure to have him involved in our wedding, in fact he helped make it even more special! It was the best day, we couldn’t have asked for more – our guests also loved the ceremony and commented on how personal it was compared to other weddings they’ve been to.
