Magical!
Penny did an amazing job with our ceremony, far exceeding our expectations. The tone was just what we wanted: relaxed, fun and with plenty of laughter throughout. Our wedding was Discworld-themed and Penny really did her homework, including a helpful overview towards the start of the ceremony for all those who were unfamiliar with Sir Terry’s books. She also wove in several references of her own – our personal favourite being “You’ve built a relationship that would make even the Librarian say more than just ‘ook.'”
Planning the ceremony was a daunting prospect as neither of us had particularly strong ideas for what ours should look like. Penny did a great job of presenting us with options without it feeling overwhelming – the whole thing was broken down into manageable decisions that we could tackle piece by piece. She was very organised, keeping track of our “homework” and letting us know when we needed to make certain decisions by. We really appreciated that everything was truly optional, and if either of us didn’t like something we were able to just move straight on to the next idea.
We ended up jumping the broom – one of many options that Penny presented to us and one that was perfect given the whole fantasy theme we had for the day. Another highlight was when one of our witnesses produced a large novelty pen to sign with. Once they’d got their laugh they tried to switch to a normal one, but Penny was having none of it – “you’ve brought that pen so now you’re going to use it!”
We had so many compliments from our guests on our ceremony and we couldn’t recommend Penny enough. We only chose a celebrant originally because of complications for trans people getting legally married in the UK – if it hadn’t been for that we’d likely have gone with a registrar. But having had our wedding we’d now recommend considering a celebrant to anyone, regardless of their circumstances. And if you do go with Penny, we can also recommend trusting what she’ll put together and keeping it a surprise for the day – that’s what we did and it definitely made it all the more special!

Everybody needs a Penny in their lives…
Penny was such a superstar, she had every angle covered and thought about everything and everyone. She was superb. I am a Marketing/Event Manager so I know how much hard work goes into making everything so perfect and Penny absolutely nailed it. She made me, my partner and my guests feel so loved and comfortable on our special day. Her special touches and likeable charm were really beautiful and funny our guests are still saying it is the best wedding they have ever been to. Thank you Penny for all your attention to detail and hard work, nothing was too much trouble you made our day absolutely perfect. Sending our love and eternal thanks Mr & Mrs Bailey xxx

We cannot thank Penny enough for how special she made our day. We wasn’t originally using a celebrant but when it was suggested & we contacted her we knew straight away she sounded like she was the one for us.
Penny took so much time & care and detail into making our ceremony personal & unique.
We had so many comments about our ceremony from how amazing it was, personal, funny and different to any wedding they’d been to before!
When we met Penny she helped us both in more ways than just our ceremony, she gave us ideas and offered helped in other aspects of the wedding. Her communication was great & she always reassured me and helped me think of things in different ways.
We would 100% recommend her to anyone and also recommend having a celebrant to make your ceremony more about yourselves and unique.
We are hoping we will get to see Penny at someone else’s wedding soon! 😃
