I became a celebrant because I love people, I’m a bit of a show off and I enjoy making everyone laugh. I also couldn’t think of a better way to spend my time at work other than amongst new friends who are excited about their most special day, whether it be a wedding, vow renewal or naming ceremony. I’m driven by the excitement of a newly engaged couple embarking on a thrilling new chapter in life. By the complete awesomeness of a new born baby and his or her family’s elation at their beautiful new arrival. By the love of a couple who’ve been together for years and who wish to renew their vows to celebrate their journey together. I’m also motivated by people with a funny story to tell, who love a good giggle and who are open to celebrating in an ‘unboring’ way!
What do I offer?
Weddings
* Celebrant’s travel expenses are included up to 20 miles from Shardlow in Derbyshire – outside of this area is charged at £0.50 per mile. Rehearsal is usually unnecessary however this can be arranged if required dependent on location at an additional cost of £30 per hour plus mileage (if applicable).

Naming Ceremonies

* Fridays and Saturdays between March and October are prime wedding ceremony dates and the fee for a full wedding will apply.

Amazing Celebrant!
Katie was honestly the best addition to our wedding. We weren’t sure about using a celebrant at first and looked into all options, but we’re so glad that we did, as this led us into finding Katie! From the beginning she was warm and friendly, she clearly explained the process and didn’t put us under any pressure at all. She created a wonderful ceremony script for us which we reviewed a few weeks before the ceremony and delivered it perfectly, making our guests laugh and cry in all the right places! She also helped to calm our nerves on the big day and was just amazing. We would wholeheartedly recommend her if you want a personal, humorous, rocking ceremony!
Festival wedding
As we wanted our ceremony outside we needed a celebrant to make it feel like a proper wedding. Katie was really professional and friendly and helped put a script together which we reviewed together. She did fantastic on the day (and standing in 30c in leather trousers was some feat!) And our guests enjoyed the ceremony. Definitely recommend her for something a bit alternative! Thanks Katie !
Renewal of our vows
Katie was brilliant from start to finish. She helped us with our service every step of the way, with ideas, zoom calls emails and texts. She put us totally at ease, we had quite a few laughs along the way!
Katie wrote our service, then sent it over to us to look at, which was lovely and we could have changed as many times as we wanted, but we didn’t need to :)
An all round brilliant service and lovely person to work and have a lovely day with…And great if you’d like a different service rather than the norm
