Hi, I'm Sarah
I’m a busy Award Winning Family Celebrant working with families and couples to create ceremonies in keeping with their wishes, values and beliefs. Ceremony is important whether it is to cherish the life of a loved one at a Funeral Ceremony or to celebrate the love of your life with a Wedding or Vow Renewal Ceremony I’m here to guide you with my experience, professionalism and care.
I write bespoke ceremonies from scratch, no templates here! It’s about you and your family. Together we will design a ceremony that is personal, that is you, that is special and very much a one-off. Pretty much just like you are!
What's my ceremony style?
My ceremonies are unique, informal, have a sense of fun with YOU at the very core. I find that even with funeral ceremonies those with a touch of humour, where appropriate, provide a huge amount of comfort for family and friends grieving their loss.
My style is, well, Me. Relaxed, informal, professional but not stuffy, organised yet flexible to cope with any mishaps or surprises!

Every June I volunteer at Glastonbury Festival and not only are people my passion but the environment and its wildlife too; I’m a member of the Woodland Trust and the WWF. If you’re like me then you have a sense of fun, you love life, the planet, the natural world and you simply embrace life and all it has to offer.
What do I offer?
Weddings
With a celebrant-led wedding, vow renewal or blessing you are absolutely free of the constraints that the legal process enforce on your ceremony. This means you can design a very personal, heartfelt, intimate ceremony in a place and time of your choice. You may opt for something simple with a traditional feel or want to include special and spiritual elements into your ceremony, be it a hand fasting, broom jumping or unity ceremony; you may even be looking to include members of your family or friends into the ceremony.

Trained to the highest standard I hold the NOCN Diploma in Celebrancy (QCF), I am passionate about people and committed to my celebrant work and love my job. I have a wealth of creative ideas but you may already have a clear idea of what you want or be starting entirely from scratch. I won’t tell you what you need; I will listen to what you want. I look forward to hearing from you when you are ready, in the meantime breathe deep, jump in and float down the river of happiness!

Renewal of Vows
A Vow Renewal is such a special milestone in any relationship. You may have overcome a turbulent time in your relationship, weathered a storm or simply wish to re-affirm your love for one another amongst your friends and family – and why not! Your renewal could take place on a special anniversary and include extended members of the family, it is a great way to welcome and blend everyone together as one. Funerals
I have undertaken intense bereavement training and have worked extensively with families bereaved by suicide.
Not all celebration of life services or semi religious funeral services are held in a crematorium and nor should they be. The choice is yours to provide a backdrop for the most fitting farewell.
Or you may be considering planning your own ceremony and it can be very reassuring to know that your funeral arrangements are taken care of in advance – I can help you.
I also provide bespoke Memorial Services and Ceremonies for the Scattering of Ashes. Please get in touch with me for further details.

Beautiful ceremony
Sarah, you are quite possibly one of the mostly loveliest people I have ever met.
Absolutely amazing heartfelt ceremony, thank you for marrying me & Will.
Sarah is so thoughtful, she is extremely accommodating think of things you would never think to do as part of a wedding. Sarah went above and beyond, she sent us abundance of poems to choose, vows etc we were spoilt for choice. We had a lovely zoom meeting with Sarah before the wedding and we both were brought to tears (good ones) emotionally drained and so excited with all of Sarah’s ideas.
On the day Sarah was great with the guests, made them feel at ease. When I arrived on the day just before walking down the aisle, Sarah greeting me in a calm manner easing my emotions.
The ceremony was beautiful, so heartwarming, there was not a dry eye there!
Sarahs little gift of the certificate in the box with dog and cat treats was a lovely touch and so well presented.
Thank you Sarah for the best day of our lives so far ❤️
A very special ceremony
Dear Sarah,
I really would like to thank you for a very special ceremony yesterday. I felt it was perfect even with the rain!
So lovely to listen to the beautiful reading you gave, all the family said how wonderfully it captured mum’s personality, her love of Yorkshire and nursing.
The bereavement dept, Keith and yourself have been so kind and helpful. I feel mum is resting in a lovely peaceful place at Harehills and I can imagine it in my mind.
All the family found the day very special and you are right love overcomes distance.
We had a nice meal afterwards and I’m safely home.
Best wishes
Rosie and all the family.
Excellent
As a family, we can’t thank you enough for everything you did to help us get through the hardest part of our lives, losing our matriarch. There are not enough words to say how grateful we are for your lovely words, you have a true talent and a very big heart. We wish you every happiness in your life, you are one of life’s true angels, that was there for us in our hour of need and beyond till the end. Highly recommended Xx
