Personal ceremonies that reflect your style, culturally diverse ceremonies, symbolic gestures such as handfasting, naming ceremonies
Hi, I'm Stephanie
Silver Bee Ceremonies is all about creating memories for the most special events in your life. Each of my ceremonies is bespoke and personal focusing on the values and wishes of the families I work with. They’re a celebration of life and are often fun and uplifting whilst also being sincere and heartfelt. They empower people to celebrate in the way they want, whether that’s a festival style wedding or one at a stately home, a funeral in the local crematorium or a natural burial ground, or a river-side naming ceremony to welcome a new born into the world, intimate or a big celebration – together we can design your perfect ceremony.
What's my ceremony style?
Whether you’d like a ceremony that’s light hearted, traditional, themed or just special to you, I will work with you to create something truly memorable. Outdoor ceremonies, in a woodland copse or lakeside, are my favourites so if you are looking for a celebrant for your festival or boho style wedding or naming celebration, or a woodland burial I could be just the person you are looking for!
Wedding £625; Vow Renewal £500; Naming £250; Funeral £220
Why choose Stephanie?
Working with my couples and families to create their ceremony so it is just the way they want it warms my heart! I will match your style as a couple to create a celebration that suits you and is truly personal, and by incorporating any special touches you would like included we can really make the ceremony yours. Let me bring a bit of magic to your wedding day or naming ceremony!
What do I offer?
You’re getting married, congratulations! Your wedding day should be all about celebrating the way that you choose with your loved ones around you, and your ceremony is no exception. I work with couples to create unique ceremonies that suit their style and personality whether that’s a fun and loving ceremony or something a little more traditional – together we can create your perfect ceremony.
I love talking through some initial ideas with each of my couples to see what sort of feel they would like for their ceremony and from there we will shape your ceremony together incorporating any elements you choose. This could be poems, songs or music, your love story, symbolic gestures such as a handfasting or a ring warming, or even a cocktail ceremony! I can help you create the perfect vows and commitments to share with each other – whether you’re writing them together or keeping them secret. And my warm and calming touch on the day will ensure you love every moment!

Congratulations on the birth of your child, or a new arrival into your family, or maybe coming together to make a new family – these are all are special moments in our lives to be celebrated! Creating memories for these special moments, shared with your family and friends, is something I love to do and together we can create a personal naming ceremony that is just right for your new family. As a non-religious celebration, a naming ceremony can be made up of any words, songs, poems or symbolic gestures you choose. And it can take place anywhere you choose too.
Just as you would have ‘god parents’ at a christening, you can ask friends or family to be ‘guide parents’ or ‘supporting adults’ to your child and they can make promises that are meaningful to you all. Parents often choose to make commitments to their child as part of their naming ceremony. I can help you craft these into something special that you want to say to your child and to share with your family and friends. The options for adding a symbolic gesture to your ceremony are endless and make a unique and memorable addition to the day, and I’ve got plenty of suggestions!

Renewal of Vows
Whether you’ve been married just a few months or for 10 years or more, renewing your marriage vows surrounded by your closest family and friends is a truly special moment. Taking time to reaffirm your commitment to each other helps to prepare you for the next chapter in your lives together, and it’s a great excuse for a party too!
Your vow renewal or rewedding (if you got married during lock down without your friends and family cheering you on) can be made up of any elements you choose and I’ll work with you to create a celebration to remember. I love involving your guests too with stories and anecdotes about the two of you, or maybe we could ask your guests to join in a ‘well wishing’ for you both? And if you have children they will, hopefully, love being part of your ceremony and there are plenty of options from a family unity circle, to sand blending and poetry reading. Together we can create the perfect ceremony.

Humanist funerals are a celebration of life, and I create personal non-religious funeral services to remember the special moments in the life of your loved one just the way that you want it. We can celebrate the fun times you shared, their relationships with family and friends, their personality with all their unique likes and dislikes, and all those other important things that made your loved who they were. Whether you choose a service that is filled with songs, fun anecdotes and readings, or quiet reflection and poems, or a combination of these, I will work with you to create a special memory for your final goodbye.
As a non-religious celebration of life, your loved one’s funeral or memorial service can be made up of any words, songs, tributes and poems or readings you choose. And it can take place in a crematorium, a natural burial ground, your local cemeteries, or anywhere else you choose. If you have an idea of what you would like included in the service, I will design the ceremony around this or, I am happy to make suggestions to suit your family and your loved one.
Funeral £220; Memorials £220

Getting to know families and hearing them talk about their loved one is such a privilege. I never cease to be inspired and amazed at the lives people have led, and I love telling their stories in a way that brings their character to life, warts and all! I will work with you to create a ceremony that is just as you want it, and if you’d like help to find some words to say on the day yourself just leave it to me.

Woodland Naming Ceremony
Stephanie conducted an amazing naming ceremony for our baby daughter Raaya just as we were emerging out of lockdown. We gathered a few close friends and family in a socially distanced ceremony in the middle of the woods – amidst the expanse of nature – with trees for hanging some lanterns from! Stephanie was calm, kind, professional, and really lovely and we had a splendid day amidst all the difficulties of 2020. We highly recommend her!
Surprise Garden Wedding
Stephanie performed our wedding ceremony in August 2020 in our neighbours back garden, as we were coming out of lockdown, and was simply amazing. Not just on the day but throughout the process especially as we could only talk via video as opposed to in person. However Stephanie managed to create a wedding script that captured our personalities perfectly. Working with both my wife and I to develop our Secret Love Words, personalised Vows and a video demonstration of a hand fasting. The added challenge we posed Stephanie was that no one attending would know they were coming for a wedding! The whole ceremony was planned to take place in our neighbours garden with Stephanie waiting to carry out our service and she managed and coordinated a very excited, surprised and shocked congregation with ease. We cannot recommend Stephanie highly enough, it’s a shame the star rating doesn’t go higher than 5!
Stephanie performed our wedding ceremony in early January 2020. She was fantastic from start to finish. We spent weeks trying to find the right celebrant and once we had spoken to Stephanie we knew she was the one for us. We met for an initial chat to talk about our relationship and how we wanted our ceremony to be. A couple of weeks later Stephanie returned a beautiful draft script which we then worked on together to get it just right – it was a really special process. On the day Stephanie was calm and organised and made sure everything ran without a hitch, having answered countless questions from us and readers along the way. It was a magical ceremony which brought a tear to everyone’s eye and so many of our guests commented on how personal it was – exactly what we’d wanted to achieve. We couldn’t recommend Stephanie more as a wedding celebrant – thank you for helping to make our day so special.
